Thanks to a nice online rate we were able to stay at this business-grade Hyatt for the price of a cookie cutter low end hotel.

I would say the most striking thing about this hotel is the interior design. The bar and restaurant have really interesting and comfortable furniture, and everything has a fashionable look and feel. It had nice artwork too. The food wasn't memorable but there are so many options within easy walking distance that it hardly matters.

We did not experience any rude service or unruly guests as mentioned by a previous reviewer. Either this situation has improved or our luck was a little better because we found the hotel atmosphere to be friendly and low-key despite its glossy appearance. Keep in mind that this hotel is the closest option to the convention center so if the International Yodeler's Association or the Cub Scout Convention is in town you might hear your next door neighbor but this would be hard to avoid in any hotel.

The room was very comfortable with a decent city view. They didn't skimp on bed linens and it was nice to have an ipod dock in the room. The pillows were soft and plentiful and the room was perfectly clean.

The thought did cross my mind a few times that this hotel belonged more in Vegas than Denver but it only bothered me at the breakfast buffet and in the hallways.

We chose the self-serve check-in and check-out and everything was perfect on our final bill. No surprises. As frequent travelers we found the most important physical features and services were very well designed at this hotel.

The staff ruin what could be a great hotel. They constantly screwed up my charges and reservations and didn't offer ANYTHING at all for inconvienincing me.

The hotel is also full of drunks ont the weekends, yelling in the halls and riding the elevators for fun. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear every bit of it.

Nice rooms though. But they don't make up for the complete lack of service at the hotel.

I stayed here overnight with my five-year-old daughter to attend the theater. It is in a great location if you want to be within walking distance of the Performing Arts Center. It is a large hotel with 1100 rooms, and the night we stayed there it was sold out. However, I never felt the hotel was crowded in any means. The decor is modern and soothing.

It is definitely more of an adult hotel. The pool is a lap pool, not one for kids. There weren't any kid friendly restaurants either. However, I would highly recommend it for adults traveling without children.

The service at the lounges in both the lobby and the 27th floor was excellent. The 27th floor offers a floor to ceiling glass view of the Pepsi Center and mountains.

It had a well equipped workout center and spa. The bed was extremely comfortable.

My only complaints were the parking prices and maid service. I didn't realize parking was an additional $21/night when making my reservation. Also I didn't think the maid service had done a very good job in preparing my room.

Aside from those two things, I found this to be a wonderful place to stay while attending a show in Denver.

Pros: Comfy beds, nice view.

Cons: Everything else.

We had the unfortunate opportunity to spend about a week and a half at the Hyatt in two different stays due to circumstances beyond our control recently. After the first time, we wouldn't have stayed again if they hadn't been the only ones in the area with a room available.

In three words: Overpriced, TERRIBLE service.

The maid service didn't restock our coffee several times, forgot lids, and even soap. They ignored the privacy sign in the lock consistently. They took my parking change. They stopped vaccuuming after the first day. I noticed lots of black sock fluff building up on my side of the bed, and as a test to confirm my suspicions they weren't cleaning, I left a few small pieces of paper on the floor. When I returned, they were in exactly the same place I left them. We called them to clean the room while we were there at 4pm, and when nobody showed by 10pm, I called again and was given a half-apology.

You'd expect a little better at $350 a night, yes?

It gets worse.

The keys to both the $21 daily self-park and our doors failed constantly. At least 8 separate times. When replaced, the keys would no longer let us into the Regency Club which we were paying extra for daily.
When we went to the bar to take advantage of the $2 draft beer offered by the coupon/coasters left in our room, the waitstaff was snooty. "Draft beer, huh?", delivered with a sneer is exactly what we got.

To make things worse, even though we were booked until Wednesday, they checked us out on Sunday afternoon. Thankfully, I was in the room when housekeeping burst in without knocking and told me the room was supposed to be empty. The front desk staffer wasn't even apologetic.

When we checked out a day early and angry, they double charged us for the fridge, charged us for a night that was supposed to be complimentary in a 1 night free out of four, and barely even acknowleged their error. Oh, we found out today and they charged us for an extra day. Still a $3500 hold on our card.

Great Hotel, really enjoyed my stay. The service was first class and very friendly, especially given how busy the place was. Great location too - all of downtown Denver in easy reach.

Bar on 27th floor has fantastic views and an excellent range of beers - again with great service. Superb gym facility.

Nothing was too much trouble - concierge arranged my golf, fishing and sight seeing trips very efficiently.

Excellent healthy breakfast - lots of fruit just how I like it!
