Thanks to a nice online rate we were able to stay at this business-grade Hyatt for the price of a cookie cutter low end hotel.
I would say the most striking thing about this hotel is the interior design. The bar and restaurant have really interesting and comfortable furniture, and everything has a fashionable look and feel. It had nice artwork too. The food wasn't memorable but there are so many options within easy walking distance that it hardly matters.
We did not experience any rude service or unruly guests as mentioned by a previous reviewer. Either this situation has improved or our luck was a little better because we found the hotel atmosphere to be friendly and low-key despite its glossy appearance. Keep in mind that this hotel is the closest option to the convention center so if the International Yodeler's Association or the Cub Scout Convention is in town you might hear your next door neighbor but this would be hard to avoid in any hotel.
The room was very comfortable with a decent city view. They didn't skimp on bed linens and it was nice to have an ipod dock in the room. The pillows were soft and plentiful and the room was perfectly clean.
The thought did cross my mind a few times that this hotel belonged more in Vegas than Denver but it only bothered me at the breakfast buffet and in the hallways.
We chose the self-serve check-in and check-out and everything was perfect on our final bill. No surprises. As frequent travelers we found the most important physical features and services were very well designed at this hotel.
