My husband went on a business trip from Oct 12th through the 15th. I tagged along and was very impressed with this hotel. The service was great. Rooms were above average. Great linens and beds. There is a GREAT conceirge serivce that is not stuffy or pretentious (as I had always assumed they would be). They suggested two great places to eat - Rioja (classified as Mediterranian). It was wonderul. Tip: Take the 16th Street free shuttle to Larimer St. It was a bit of a hike from the hotel. Also, my husband wanted to catch a few games on Saturday and eat pizza. We went to Wazee Supper Club. Good pizza (but if you are a Chicago or a NY pizza fan, you will be disappointed...but Denver isn't known for their pizza, right?).
There is an Enterprise rental car located right in the lobby. We rented a car for the day (we were supposed to get a small car, but all they had were trucks...nice upgrade for no extra cost) and saw Red Rocks and drove around. We didn't want to pay the huge cost to park overnight in the hotel ($25.00 valen, $21.00 self park), so we turned it in. Cabs are available by request (and my one experience with a cab the drive took me the wrong place and overcharged me by $2.00 because he was lost). Walking is sometimes easier.
If you are looking for a great massage, book it at Spa Universaire (the sister company to their on-site massage) in the Belvedere Tower. Ask for Ken...it is well worth it.
The only bad experience we had was our luggage got lost on the way home...we checked our bags at the hotel. Although, not sure if it was the hotels fault or the airlines. It would be too hard to tell....so all in all I gave this facility an excellent rating.
