this is a very nice, clean, and new hotel in downtown denver. the gym facilities are the best at any hotel i've stayed at outside of resorts. i'd come back just for that. however, there were a lot of screw ups at check in, and overall, not handled that well or professionally. however, the rooms are nice, and it is conveniently located in downtown. it is a big hotel! 1100 rooms.

Got a good deal on priceline for $97 a night during the Frozen Four weekend when hotel rooms were at a premium downtown. Each and every staff member was friendly and check in was efficient with self check-in or staff assisted check in, the same with check-out. The valet parking at $26 a night is a little high but our car was up and ready within 5 minutes of our call every time. The room was clean and quiet. be careful to get on the correct set of elevators, some go to the lower floors only (Floor 1 to 21, I think) and others go to upper floors only. The hotel is in a great location, we could walk everywhere we needed to go from the Pepsi Center to Coors Field to restaurants and the 16th street mall - easily accessible to light rail stop (1 block) and to I-25 - good all around experience.

My experience with this hotel was wonderful. Being a professional woman who takes solo business trips this hotel was very accommodating. The parking was expensive but I didn't have to worry about walking into a dark parking garage to get my car. There was parking across the street and the street meters are cut off on the weekend if the price is too much. The hotel room was very comfortable, spacious, well furnished, and clean. The views of the city and the mountains from the room was breathe taking. The fitness centers was state of the art with touch screen TV on the treadmills and breathe taking views that helps get through any workout. Room service is great and very timely but with any room service it was pricey. The food was always amazing and the beer was always cold. The buffet at the Altitude restaurant had excellent array of food choices. The 16th street mall, US Mint and other local attractions are all within a 5 to 10 minute walking distance. If you want or need to be in the middle of everything on your next trip to Denver, Colorado this is the hotel for you.

Restaurants:

Altitude ( in the Hyatt Hotel lobby)
The Cheesecake Factory (16th street mall)
PF Chang (wonderful)

I'm a budget traveller and I found a rate of about 170/night and it was WELL worth it.

Fantastic staff.

No free services though, they charge for everything (internet, luggage storage, mail, etc)

But their bar does have a good happy hour.

We only stayed one night, before heading into Breckenridge for a long weekend of skiing. The hotel is a solid 4 star with newly remodeled rooms, a nice exercise facility, a restaurant and bar, and a good central location. We got an amazing deal through priceline for $77 per night. The customer service was definitely topnotch. We requested a mountain view room and were happily accomodated. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!
