This is a large hotel and many rooms have excellent views of Denver. My room was very new, well decorated with a very comfortable bed and a modern desk for working in the room. The bathroom was well-designed, with a modern look and no issues. Overall, the room was excellent, no complaints.

Desk service was top-notch at check-in and check-out. There is a lobby sports bar that has a huge number of televisions going, which as very popular during March Madness. The service was very attentive and atmosphere was good.

The location of the hotel was very good, with many restaurants and nightspots a short walk away. I would definitely consider staying at this property again.

HUGE tournament at the convention center, knew the hotel was packed ahead of time. I did a web check in ahead of time to secure a rollaway, I highly recommend it. Went to a kiosk to check in, found they were out of order to accomodate the huge group, yet a staff member said he'd help me anyway. I had upgraded to club level, always find that it's worth it. Toiletries were L'occitane, room a bit small, but the club was close by. Staff was amazing. I knew the hotel was full, but everyone was very accomodating. True story, walking around checking out the hotel with our 5 year old, decided to check out the pool. Came out of the elevator, looking for the directional signs when a maintenance man addresses us and asks if there was anything he could do? Another example, club staff went downstairs to the kitchen to get our daughter cheese for breakfast, per her random comment. My only complaint would be housekeeping. We left the room everyday around 8:30, returning around 2pm....upon our return the room was never made up. We'd have to call to get it done....the one morning when we do sleep in, they knock on the door at 8am to clean....go figure. One other thing, if you do stay on the club floor, request a room AWAY from the club entrance. The doors are so heavy that you hear it slamming starting at 6am. All in all, in a case where there was downright pandemonium within the hotel, they were stellar. Food service was great, staff around the hotel was great, room was great, amenities were great......I will stay here again when I'm downtown! By the way, we stayed there 4 nights.

disapointing experience

We stayed at the Hyatt for three nights for a weekend girls volleyball tournament.

The hotel looked very nice at the first sight, but the stay was not so pleasant for several reasons. The main one is that the rooms
are very noisy in that I could hear people talk and even snore in the next door room. Whenever someone talked in the hallway walking to their rooms, it sounded like they were standing right next to the door. In other words, the rooms are not well insulated from the outside noises. No noise came from the street, however, so windows are good. In the three days I did not have a single good night sleep.

Amother annoyance is that the Internet access was not free - $10 for 24 hours. This is crazy! It is free in a $40/night La Quinta. A bottle of water
in the room is $6.00, parking - $21 a night, breakfast - too expensive at about $20 with coffee. I did not feel like we were welcome there. Very disapointing.

The staff was very nice, but somewhat inexperienced, almost too young. For example, on the first say they did not clean the room because it had taken too long to do the rest of the floor.

  • Liked — the excersize gym
  • Disliked — poor sound insulation of the rooms, no free Internet

We booked our room through Priceline and were pleased with the $70 a night rate we received. After booking the hotel, we noticed that there was a $21 a day parking fee. We were not overly enthused about this, but thought that parking in the garage would be the most convenient. The day we arrived we self-parked in the hotel parking garage, but weren't made aware that we needed a "special" red card to ensure that our parking space was reserved. The following day we left to do some shopping and on return weren't allowed to park in the hotel parking garage because it was full. The parking attendant was not very helpful when we asked her for another recommendation on where to park. We were left to park at the parking lot adjacent to the hotel and had to remove our car before 6:00 a.m. Everyone in our party agreed that both the price and Hyatt's inability to guarantee parking for their guests was ridiculous. I don't know that we'll stay at the Hyatt again, because of this.

Hotel was pretty nice. Restaurant is only Ok.

The elevators were fast and efficient -- however, they have background noise effects that some of my travelling companions did not like. Room was missing remote; clock was set wrong, and lightbulb burned out -- these were fixed quickly, but I was suprised to find several problems in such a hotel.
