I am a travelling consultant that lives in Denver and fly to different cities each week. I must say that the Denver airport is quite possibly the most inconvenient airport I ever use. The airport was touted as an energy efficient / environmentally friendly facility. I would love to see a study on the amount of emissions from cars to get to the airport vs. the amount of emissions avoided by this "high tech" airport. Point being - THE AIRPORT is 20 freaking miles from town! All that is between the airport and the city is empty fields. The location decision of the Denver airport was absolutely insane. Then once you get there, it takes 15-20 minutes to get from the ticketing area to your gate. I assure you that no other airports in the country are this blatantly inconvenient. If I had a billion dollars lying around, I'd build a new airport ON THE EDGE OF THE CITY where it should have been built in the first place!
