The various Marriott Courtyard stays we have had have l been consistently good and this is yet another. So often, as here, we find operating efficiency, pleasing staff interface situations and well equipped rooms. Food is also good for the money.

This Courtyard in Denver is graced with some of the most efficient front desk staff you will encounter. They are interested in you and a source of great local information. They smile genuinely, not falsely.

The room was spacious, attractive decor and well equipped. Spare space in the fridge for your own beverages etc.

There is always much more to write when a hotel disappoints but an hotel that gets it all right does just that - no more to say - except book with confidence.

We mostly enjoyed this hotel. It's at least $50 a night cheaper than downtown places, but the common areas are pleasant, and the rooms, while small, are very nice. The mountain views from the rooms on the west side of the hotel are fabulous. The hotel is oddly located, sort of in midtown, but it's an easy drive to get to where you need to go. Also, the surface parking out front is free and plentiful, which is a benefit of increasing importance. However, the restaurant was a disaster. On our first morning, something went terribly wrong with the breakfast buffet and all of a sudden no food was brought out nor was service rendered to those of us sitting at tables. We did not pay. We and others complained to the front desk. They apologized several times and made amends by giving me free coupons for future breakfasts. I appreciated that. We did have breakfast on future mornings. Food was acceptable. Service ranged from decent to poor. On one day, the first four empty plates I took from the stack were dirty. One had a slice of vegetable stuck to the bottom. I would hope the people in charge of the restaurant are fired. While we liked the hotel overall, we would not select it in the future.

We go to Denver once or twice a year to kick back and have some fun. This was one of those trips. The hotel was great, right off the highway, and easy access to just about anywhere in the area. That assumes you have a rental car, which we did.

The lobby has a cool western vibe, and the rooms were renovated and clean, nothing fancy. The bathroom set up is really small, but everything was pretty new and convenient. We had a mountain view that was just great. Breakfast downstairs was basic, but the staff were always helpful and friendy. We had a drink at the bar with friends, and it was low key, but pleasant.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn down the street, and definitely think the Marriott is a step up if you are paying around the same price. We had a great stay, especially for the price (make sure to check out Marriott's low price guarantee).

We spent hours researching where we would stay and I vowed to write a review so that others could benefit.
We stayed at the Courtyard Denver-Cherry Creek the first part of March for $160 a night in a King room with a pull out couch. Overall the rooom was nice, however at best average for $160 a night. According to friends in the area this hotel previously was the Sheridan and was completely renovated so the rooms are clean and still have a "new" look (i.e. the furniture was not dinged and the bath did not show continuous use like stained grout). We travel with 2 young children (2 1/2 and an 8 month old) so we are always concerned with sound (for ourselves as well as other guests) and this had to be one of the quietest hotels we have stayed in. About once a day we would hear a door shut but not once did we hear our neighbors or anyone above and we did not hear the television in the rooms next door which always seems to be the case (we did not see neighbors either so perhaps we did not have any!).
This hotel, although it carries the "Cherry Creek" location in the title is a few miles from the mall where you will find ample dining options, but if you do not have a car there are a few restaurants in walking vacinity, the Hooters accross the street is the most prominant. The hotel offers a brunch type breakfast for $12.99, absolutely not worth it and the bar only carries 1 brand of wine so the options are limited. We ate out at local establishments for dinner so we did not experience the evening dining.
We like staying at Embassy Suites and probably feel that you get a little more for your dollar there, but our stay was adequate and we experienced no problems, but had this not been a business trip we probably would not have chosen this hotel for the rate of $160.

Overall, our stay at the Courtyard Marriot Cherry Creek was pretty good. The hotel itself appears to be fairly new, with a nice lobby and internet cafe area. The internet and printing are both free and we never had to wait to get online - all that was very convenient. Our room faced west and had an unbelievable view of the mountains - much better than we expected for the $69/night we paid. The front desk staff was helpful and recommended a delicious Mexican restauarant in the shopping center across the street. The hotel's location was great for our purposes (we were in Denver as tourists) - you're close to shopping and eating, and just down the road from the highway, which will get you downtown in five minutes.

The only complaint we had is that the walls were very thin, both between rooms and to the hallways. We were kept awake by the noises made by our next-door neighbors on a couple of nights. We did have an adjoining room to one side (don't know why) so maybe that's part of the problem. We could also hear everyone who walked by. Just be aware of this and, if possible, request a non-adjoining room. Apart from that, though, the hotel was pretty nice for a Courtyard and a really good value.
