Overall, our stay at the Courtyard Marriot Cherry Creek was pretty good. The hotel itself appears to be fairly new, with a nice lobby and internet cafe area. The internet and printing are both free and we never had to wait to get online - all that was very convenient. Our room faced west and had an unbelievable view of the mountains - much better than we expected for the $69/night we paid. The front desk staff was helpful and recommended a delicious Mexican restauarant in the shopping center across the street. The hotel's location was great for our purposes (we were in Denver as tourists) - you're close to shopping and eating, and just down the road from the highway, which will get you downtown in five minutes.

The only complaint we had is that the walls were very thin, both between rooms and to the hallways. We were kept awake by the noises made by our next-door neighbors on a couple of nights. We did have an adjoining room to one side (don't know why) so maybe that's part of the problem. We could also hear everyone who walked by. Just be aware of this and, if possible, request a non-adjoining room. Apart from that, though, the hotel was pretty nice for a Courtyard and a really good value.

Booked this Hotel for $99/night, then saw on Hotels.com it was offered for $59/night plus daily hot breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Marriott matched the hotels.com offer. At that price, this hotel could not be beat.

The hot breakfast buffet in the hotel is typically $12.99. It's a pretty good buffet with fruits, cereals, eggs, meats, and a chef who makes omlettes and breakfast burritos. When we checked in the front desk said that our reservation did not include breakfast. They said that Marriott never gives free breakfasts. When I showed them the email from Marriott stating that the rate would include breakfast they quickly gave us the free breakfast coupons.

The hotel is on a busy street with plenty of dining options within a couple miles. Our room had a great view of the mountains and of downtown denver about 8 miles away. We were able to watch the new years fireworks from our room.

Hotel room was clean. Could have been a little more spacious, but can't complain. The in room microwave was great.

Although we stayed for only one night, my husband and I were very pleased with our room. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the room. The room had updated fixtures and décor and a sophisticated feel with multiple pillows on the bed, granite-look countertops, microwave, and mini-bar area. The ample-sized desk and sitting area with a couch were a pleasant addition to our king bedroom. We had a beautiful view from our 6th floor room of the mountains with the top of a mission-style church and seminary in the foreground. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant or to try out their other amenities like the exercise room. We were able to hear the television set from a nearby room, but it did not disturb our stay. We would stay at this hotel again on another trip to Denver!

I wasn't sure what to expect with the questionable reviews but my husband and I took a chance.

I really really enjoyed stay here. The rooms were plush, comforable and quiet. My husband, who is 6'2 appreciated the rounded-out shower curtain rod so as not to continue to scrape against the curtain. Our room was so quiet it hurt our ears! The room doors don't slam because of higher piled carpeting.

The pool was very clean and not overly chlorinated. The workout room, albeit small served its purpose with newer equipment and faced the pool with wide unobstructed windows. All areas required a room key to enter so the element of security was nice.

Check in was a little long. It was only 9:00p and there was one person working the counter and quite a few people in line awaiting registration.

I would definitely stay here again. It was only a few minutes from the main downtown area and the Washington Park Grill off of Gaylord Street was awesome for its $19.95 buffett. Two minutes from the Marriott.

Despite the previous reviewers breakfast buffett complaint, the hotel had a summer offer of two complimentary breakfasts in the dining room. We recieved the vouchers upon check-in.

  • Liked — The comfort of the room, access to Denver sites.
  • Disliked — Hole in bathroom door.

This is a very nice hotel, in a superb location, but we felt misled by the breakfast buffet. We assumed it was free, but were presented with a substantial bill after eating. It's $12.95 for adults and $7.95 for children. No where is there any indication that the breakfast costs. When you walk in, you assume it's free just like any other hotel's breakfast. It is quite good, however, but my family never spends that kind of money for breakfast.
