“Goosebumps!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2013

With the Book of Mormon play sold out, I was looking for a good show at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. Being big sucker for super hero movies and growing up watching Batman, Superman and company, I did not hesitate to purchase a ticket for "The Hero's Journey: A Symphonic Tribute to Comic Con".
It was beyond what I expected and the show immediately gave me chills. It's amazing to see those talented musicians in complete synchrony. Scott O'Neil, the resident conductor was fantastic and gave the audience plenty of laughs. Austin Wintory also showed up briefly to present excerpts of the video game Journey. And I was pleasantly surprised to see DeVotchKa frontman Nick Urata make a short appearance and dazzle the audience with his skillful manipulation of the Theremin.
Very well organized event except for the shortage of pamphlets. The ushers are very courteous and the audience appreciative (except for the few drunk group of people in the two rows in front of me).
With all that said, the musicians are the heart of this orchestra and it shows that they put in long hours of hard work and dedication. Bravo!

“Event Cancelled”

The concert that we were scheduled to attend was to be held at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, an outdoor venue. Severe thunderstorms caused the concert to be cancelled - a disappointment but understandable.

“Symphony trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Have been to the Colorado Symphony 4 times this year and every one a unique experience. They are a great orchestra. Sponsers offer discount pricing where you can get an $80.00 ticket for $25.00. A great value.Am returning this Saturday night for their Haloween concert Bride of Frankenstein. Live music accompaning the 1930's movie. Should be a blast!!
