Description: Located in Denver's Uptown neighborhood, the newly redecorated Strings has long been one of Denver's hippest restaurants. Great service and delicious, artful food attracts a "colorful" crowd of visiting celebrities, politicians, and loyal locals. Popular and bustling with excitement, the dress code ranges from blue jeans to tuxedos in this casual but elegant atmosphere. The menu focuses on New American cuisine, with creative noodle dishes and fresh seafood, like the Cashew Crusted Seabass with saffron couscous & vanilla bean butter. Lunch and dinner specials change daily to match the season and the mood of the chef.

“Good food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

We were happy to be able to order the Capellini and Spaghetti in appetizer portions to go with our bottle of wine. Service was impeccable, especially the young lady who was always there with more water. It was a most pleasant dinner experience.

“Wonderful service, food good, but a little dated interior”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

The service at Strings was EXCELLENT! The bartenders wine suggestion was wonderful and our waiter was top notch! The food was good, but not fantastic. The interior feels a little dated.

“Very good place with excellent menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

I have been here multiple times. The latest in September 2012 for a SKAL International dinner meeting. Every visit, including this one, has produced excellent food and great service. The have valet parking but with a slight effort you can usually find a street space within one or two blocks. This restaurant has been in business a long time and has always had a good reputation.

Although this was a business meeting, with about 45 people in attendance, the service was excellent and the food prepared and served very nicely. Just the right amoun of wait staff providing attentive service.

“Excellent neighborhood Italian restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

Our group of 8 enjoyed a wonderful meal outside on the front patio. Delicious food, good wine list, good wait staff, quiet neighborhood location.

“Longevity and Consistency”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

After a couple of decades you might expect a dining experience to become stale or routine. We have dined at Strings for 15+ years and it never gets old. There is a casual elegance about Strings that at once makes you feel relaxed while concurrently providing a sense of anticipation and the appeal of a "special occasion."

Tomato bisque, a couple of appetizers, some pasta, wine specials and sorbet for dessert...in and of themselves, each dish was tasty without being overwrought and no one groaned over a serving too large or felt cheated because a serving was too small. Attempting to analyze this brought only one conclusion...they know what they're doing after all this time. And they have ever since we started patronizing Strings back in the 90s.

Recalling lunches here, there are no glitches or hiccups to recall. When dining companions are told "We'll meet at Strings" the reaction is always a strong positive. After reading previous reviews here, I suppose once in a blue moon there is a negative or mediocre experience...it can happen anywhere. So far, we've not experienced that, our lunches and dinners ranged from 4 to 5 star.

There's an outdoor patio on 17th Avenue and there's easy valet parking that's validated and added to the bill.
