I really was excited about the Delectable Egg after looking at their website. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to my expectations.
I had the eggs benedict with spinach, avocado, and tomato instead of ham (California benedict). The concept is good, but the execution was off. Mostly, the problem was with the hollandaise sauce- it was only a step above hollandaise you'd find at a place like Perkins (aka not real hollandaise)- none of the buttery goodness of a great hollandaise.
The service was nice. The server was cheerful and willing to make substitutions.
The atmosphere could use a bit of work. I haven't been to the other locations, but this one looked a little bit like a tired 1980s cheap theme.
