Tried Cucina Calore as part of Denver's Restaurant week. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was excellent. Their regular menu was very varied although prices seem on the high side. We ordered from the 5280 menu for restaurant week and our meals were very good. Appetizers (calamari, caprese skewers and roasted red pepper soup) were fine, nothing spectacular. Two of us had their "pastaless" lasagna which is basically layered eggplant parmesan, it was very tasty but goes for $19 on the regular menu which seems high to me. My daughter had the salmon which was prepared nicely. The peach bread pudding and tiramisu were a good ending to an enjoyable meal. They have a corner location in Cherry Creek North with outside patio tables which would be great in nice weather. Glad that we gave this place a try, we will return.
