I was raised in a meat eating family. My father owned and operated an exclusive butcher shop in Winter Park, Florida, and I was used to meat, meat, meat, 3 times a day, and prime grade at that. Because of being used to the best, throughout my life I have rarely (pardon the pun) ordered steak out in a restaurant, because it has mostly been well below my expectations. Well, this place rocked!
The well recommended sugar steak was NOT sweet, but made for a crusty glaze on a superbly cooked piece of beef. The ambiance reflected the days of yesteryear's supper clubs, the cesar salad authentic and wonderful, the bread sticks a quirky delight, and the accompanying veggies crunchy and not overcooked. The service was nonassuming and perfect.
So, where in the world are these negative comments coming from? One can only guess these consumers frequent Outbacks and Applebee's and don't know any better. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Denver!
