I recently spent two nights in the JW Marriott Denver while I was in town on business. I stayed there about a year ago, and the hotel was perhaps even better during my most recent stay. The hotel is right in the heart of the Cherry Creek district, with lots of shopping and several large financial firms within walking distance. There is no self-parking on the property, although valet parking is available for $22 per day. The upscale lobby is somewhat on the smallish side, but has a swanky bar and premium restaurant, while check-in is only a few steps from the main entrance. The rooms are very nice: upscale furnishings, large 32" tube television with 37 channels and very comfortable bed (almost "heavenly"). The expansive bathroom is much better than most, with a granite counter, marble tile and glass-enclosed shower (in addition to a tub). The executive lounge was also better than average, with hot breakfast offerings in the morning (eggs, bacon or sausage) and sinful dessert offerings at night. Soft drinks and water along with beer and wine were provided there at no extra charge. The only minor complaint I had during my stay was that my shower water was only warm--not hot--on the second day. Overall, the JW Marriott is well-deserving of its AAA four-diamond rating. Although not cheap, the quality and service are worth every penny.

Our second stay at this hotel and, if possible, it has only improved. OK, its new, its flashy and the location is great, which is what you expect in a five star in any case. The staff, however, is one of the best trained, most friendly and talented I have experiences anywhere. The front desk, the concierge, the restaurant staff and even the bellmen and top notch. With the on-sight spa now completed there is really nothing else that compares in the Denver area and the location is far more charming than downtown or being stuck out in the tech center.

We were at the end of a 21 day holiday touring Colorado, Wyoming and Utah and looking for somewhere to spend a couple of nights before flying back home to the UK. All our hotels had been pre-booked and following previous recommendations on TripAdvisor we booked two nights at the JW Marriot through Expedia. It was probably the most expensive room rate of the trip but with the favorable exchange it was still very reasonable for us.

We arrived on a Saturday night and having just driven up from Moab we initially felt a bit out of place in our shorts and t-shirts with everyone else in suits and posh frocks heading out for a Saturday night.

The one thing that sets this hotel apart from all the rest is its staff - from bel hop, to valet park, to front desk, to maid, etc I've never met a more helpful and happy bunch. They were all exceptional and made our stay there fantastic.

We initially had trouble finding somewhere to eat (we've two kids aged 15 and 11) but the concierge was very helpful and gave us some options all within walking distance. Everywhere was very busy and we probably should have sorted out a reservation earlier but we eventually got somewhere.

There were plenty of places to eat around the hotel and in the morning we just decided to take breakfast in some of the many cafes nearby - so we never actually ate in the hotel.

The rooms were luxurious with plenty of space and very comfortable. I can’t recommend this hotel enough and would definitely return.

My husband and I just returned from a conference in Denver where we stayed at the JW Marriott @Cherry Creek. This is one of the nicest and best run Marriotts I've stayed in. Being the frugal couple that we are we parked our car ourselves at the pay lot across from the hotel, you enter around the corner and walk out in front to the hotel, instead of paying for valet parking. As we rolled our luggage across the street the doorman welcomed us with a smile. The desk clerk made check in a breeze and our room was absolutly perfect. Wide windows ( ask for an 8 th or 9 th floor room facing the front of the hotel and the mountains for a great Mtn. view.) Extra large marble baths, luxury ammenites, two terry robes and double sheeted down comforters with your choice of down or synthetic pillows. One nite sit in front of the large stone fireplace in the bar and order from the bar menu. The hamburger is famous and the wine list is good. Saturday nite there was a jazz combo and singer. From this location you can walk to numerous resturants and Bistros (,the hotel will give you directions and suggestions). a whole foods grocery (where we bought our own cokes and gingerale so as to not pay mini bar prices) Save that money for shopping at the high end shops across the other street Neimans, Sacks ect) What a comfortably elegant, spotless hotel in a safe trendy section of town section of town

I have stayed at many hotels recently on business. The JW Marriott Denver at Cherry Creek is by far the nicest and most enjoyable stay I have had in a long time. There was significant attention to detail in every way--from the bathroom decor/amenities, to the high end bathrobe and slipppers. I appreciated the large flat-screen TV and CD/DVD player. Your newspaper is delivered in a bag hanging on your door in the morning. The staff were consistantly efficient and friendly. The food in the restaurant, bar, and room service was superb. It was very nice to be close to the Cherry Creek shops. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Denver.
