We were at the end of a 21 day holiday touring Colorado, Wyoming and Utah and looking for somewhere to spend a couple of nights before flying back home to the UK. All our hotels had been pre-booked and following previous recommendations on TripAdvisor we booked two nights at the JW Marriot through Expedia. It was probably the most expensive room rate of the trip but with the favorable exchange it was still very reasonable for us.
We arrived on a Saturday night and having just driven up from Moab we initially felt a bit out of place in our shorts and t-shirts with everyone else in suits and posh frocks heading out for a Saturday night.
The one thing that sets this hotel apart from all the rest is its staff - from bel hop, to valet park, to front desk, to maid, etc I've never met a more helpful and happy bunch. They were all exceptional and made our stay there fantastic.
We initially had trouble finding somewhere to eat (we've two kids aged 15 and 11) but the concierge was very helpful and gave us some options all within walking distance. Everywhere was very busy and we probably should have sorted out a reservation earlier but we eventually got somewhere.
There were plenty of places to eat around the hotel and in the morning we just decided to take breakfast in some of the many cafes nearby - so we never actually ate in the hotel.
The rooms were luxurious with plenty of space and very comfortable. I can’t recommend this hotel enough and would definitely return.
