My daughter was turning 8, and instead of a birthday party with a bunch of friends, she opted to stay the night at the JW with her bestfriend to have a "girls weekend". From the moment we arrrived she and her friend were treated like a princesses. I just cannot say enough about this hotel and their staff. We had let the hotel know in advance that it was a birthday and we wanted it to feel special, and special is what we got. Upon arrival to our suite, there were chocolate covered strawberries waiting for the girls. Our bellman, Andrew, was actually the hotel manager and was amazing. He made the girls' whole evening. When they had left their jacket and sunglasses in the lobby after dinner, Andrew delivered them to our room wearing the sunglasses. He later brought them each a teddy bear to sleep with, wearing their princess crowns they had left in the lobby, as well. Lots of laughter!!! Room service delivered a homemade pan cookie with ice cream and candle, (bottle of wine, for the moms) as their treat. I could go on and on, but the point is, is that every last person, was warm and genuine and went out of their way to make it special, and my daughter and her friend will remember it and talk about it for some time to come. The mom's decided we want our birthday celebration to be at the JW. Realistically speaking, can it be like this for everyone? Maybe not every time, but they will come as close as you will ever get. BTW...Second Home Kitchen and Bar is OUTSTANDING. I am not sure why it hasn't been written up in 5280 or some other Denver publication. We recommend the pork tenderloin panini!!! Laurie M.
