We stayed here to attend a concert at the Bluebird theater on Colfax. It was fairly cheap, and close to 1-25 (no football game at Invesco) so I wasn't expecting much. The room was really cool, it's very old school 70's. Nothing terribly fancy---room was pretty spartan but very clean. We went to the bar/restaurant on the top floor and the view just floored us! ( You can see downtown, elitches, and the children's museum, etc.) The bartender was a friendly dude and the food was expensive but very good. They have a free shuttle to downtown and they'll even pick up up if you call them. We slept well and headed out the next day---my boyfriend urged me to leave them a good review he enjoyed it so much. I definitely recommend this hotel, a lot of value for the money especially considering the great location.

We stayed the weekend and we were booked with a group of 20 or so people that were there to see a band two nights in a row. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was great, we were on the 11th floor. Very clean and above average for a room that price. My only problem was that our keys kept getting deactivated, and it was frustrating having to go all the way to the lobby in the middle of the night to get back in the room. (If you’re not up and running around from room to room all night, it probably won't be an issue)
I would also like to mention the staff going above and beyond in their shuttle service for us. They kept Denver a little safer that night by keeping us off the roads.

Hotel had no availability, despite our confirmation of our reservation prior to the trip. We have a 2 year old and an infant (8 weeks old). With this in mind had reserved a double bed with a crib. Upon arrival we were instructed that the only room available was a king size, smoking room, which at the time was still dirty and needed to be cleaned. And they didn't have any cribs available. (This was already 10pm). After speaking with the manager we were informed to "take it" or "leave it". Do I need to say we left it? The manager could not understand why I wouldn't put my 8 week old baby in a bed with four people in a smoking room! WE were then asked to leave the premises because we asked for compensation for another hotel that would occupy our needs. I'd like to say the Crowne Plaza was even more beautiful then the VQ and cheaper, so thank you to HOTEL VQ for their incompetence and lack of respect for their customers turned out to be an upgrade for us. The Crowne Plaza even gave us free parking because of the way the HOtel VQ treated us How's that for Customer service?

  • Liked — It wasn't even that aesthically pleasant!
  • Disliked — The staff, the management, the end result

Desperately in need of refurbishment. Room was dirty and musty. Bed was uncomfortable. Furniture was old. TV was old. Bathroom fixtures were in poor shape. Staff was very accomodating when I cancelled my reserved second night and moved to another hotel. Only reason to stay here is if you need to be walking distance to the stadium.

Other than the fact that they couldn't get my card to work at the front desk (but it worked in the atm at the hotel, for a fee of course, annoying), we had no complaints. The staff was friendly and the room was fine and comfy. They really need to lose the double beds and put in queens though. We were there during a game weekend and there were rowdy guests, but our room on the 6th floor was quiet. The Skybox had a yummy breakfast and yes, the views were amazing.
I enjoyed the smooth jazz soundtrack in the lobby.
I would stay here again.
