People complaining about the "seedier" qualities of the 16th Street Mall have NO idea how bad that part of town was before the city redeveloped it into what it is today. Used to be, you wouldn't want to find yourself there in any situation, on any given day. Now, it's an outdoor, pedestrian friendly mall. Diverse businesses and restaurants and various street vendors all on offer. Some of it is standard touristy stuff. Some of it is neighborhood. Is it a destination attraction? I hope not. But if in Denver with time on your hands, give it try.
