Stayed at the Townplace Suites for 3 nights in June, 2007. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very friendly, and checked me in in no time. Juaquin was very nice and offered suggestions on things to do and places to eat in the vicinity. I received a studio suite, which is really just an oversized room, but it was comfortable, having a queen bed, sleeper sofa, nice lounge chair, along with a kitchen stocked with dishes, pots, glasses, and silverware. There is a good sized closet, plenty of hangers, and a nice bathroom. The hotel has a decent workout room, guest laundry facilities, and free access to a computer and printer. There is also free wifi throughout! It is nice to offer all this computer access for free, when more upscale properties like Hyatt and Westin charge for these services on top of their already high room rates.
The hotel also offers free parking, nice to have so close to downtown. There is a Starbucks about a block away on Broadway if you don't care for the coffee is the lobby. Also within 1 block of the hotel is a Burger King, a greek restaurant, an Italian place, and a fast food Japanese place. Downtown is about 10 blocks away, and the Cherry Creek mall and shopping area is a 7 minute drive south on Speer Blvd. My only complaint is that the hotel is situated in a triangle of one way streets with lights that are timed at every corner. Getting back to the property from downtown requires about 4 turns and as many stops at red lights.
Overall a pleasant stay in a really nice city!
