I stayed here three days while in town house looking a real estate for an upcoming relocation.

The staff was helpful and attentive, the parking plentiful, the bed was comfortable (great sheets!), the room was spotless, the internet worked, and the small kitchen was well appointed. They have a small convenience center in the lobby where you can get free coffee or tea or buy reasonably priced snacks. Two nights of my stay there were free fresh baked cookies in the lobby!

It IS hard to find if you are using a GPS so I'd call the hotel for better directions.

It isn't a good walking distance to downtown sites - but that wasn't a factor in my visit.

  • Liked — Clean - great staff - well appointed
  • Disliked — Not walking distance to sites

Stayed at the Townplace Suites for 3 nights in June, 2007. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very friendly, and checked me in in no time. Juaquin was very nice and offered suggestions on things to do and places to eat in the vicinity. I received a studio suite, which is really just an oversized room, but it was comfortable, having a queen bed, sleeper sofa, nice lounge chair, along with a kitchen stocked with dishes, pots, glasses, and silverware. There is a good sized closet, plenty of hangers, and a nice bathroom. The hotel has a decent workout room, guest laundry facilities, and free access to a computer and printer. There is also free wifi throughout! It is nice to offer all this computer access for free, when more upscale properties like Hyatt and Westin charge for these services on top of their already high room rates.
The hotel also offers free parking, nice to have so close to downtown. There is a Starbucks about a block away on Broadway if you don't care for the coffee is the lobby. Also within 1 block of the hotel is a Burger King, a greek restaurant, an Italian place, and a fast food Japanese place. Downtown is about 10 blocks away, and the Cherry Creek mall and shopping area is a 7 minute drive south on Speer Blvd. My only complaint is that the hotel is situated in a triangle of one way streets with lights that are timed at every corner. Getting back to the property from downtown requires about 4 turns and as many stops at red lights.
Overall a pleasant stay in a really nice city!

Stayed here June 10th for one night. I had booked a studio. Upon check in, I asked for an upgrade. Was told sold out. Minutes after arriving in the room, front desk called to say an upgrade to a one bedroom had opened up and we could transfer at no charge. Room was a nice size with fully-stocked kitchen and bedroom. Room was very clean.

They offer free parking and free coffee/tea in the mornings. Snacks and quick food items are available for sale.

Customer service was excellent.

Highly recommend especially for families.

This hotel is located across from the Denver Medical Center and the Denver Dental building. It is about 1 mile from downtown and is located on Speer Street which is one of the main streets going into Denver downtown and south to Cherry Brook. This hotel does not have a swimming pool but does have a good fitness center. The front desk was very nice and gave us helpful directions. This hotel has a laundry facility. It is about 1/2 hr from the airport.

Stayed at this hotel weekend of May 18-20 to attend Rockies games. The location is not ideal for doing things downtown, and it's a little difficult to find given all the one-way streets. The hotel is clean and the staff were very pleasant and accomodating. The rooms, however, are very cheaply decorated and furnished and not what I am used to from any Marriott brand. The bed (a double) was worse than the bed I had in college, like the $49 specials at the mattress store. My back is still sore and I am still tired from lack of sleep.

The a/c didn't work in our unit, so we had to change rooms. The front desk person was very accomodating, but we had to try several silly things with the thermostat before they would let us switch.

Overall, this hotel is OK if you don't mind being out of the way from where most things are downtown. But, the beds are so very uncomfortable, I will never stay there again.

On the plus side - the staff were very nice.
