The night before our trip, I did a search and read these reviews, and I was horrified! I scrambled to try and cancel my reservation, but since I booked through a third party on line, I couldn't. I am so glad I didn't!
I thought the location was great, about 10 minutes from I-70, very close to I-25, very close to the Cherry Creek shopping area, which is just beautiful.
We called to say we were going to be checking in at about 1am and would that be a problem - "kirby" who answered the phone was more than polite and helpful. Upon checkin, they asked us if we had our laptop and gave us the code for the free wireless internet, which was so convenient. They also offered free passes to work out at Bally's down the block.
I had heard some horror stories about the lobby and elevators, both of which were just fine, as was the bar -
The room, a king sized non smoking was great! Not only did they have a fridge, but a microwave also. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.
The continental breakfast was very good, typical stuff, plus make it yourself belian waffles, I thought that was very cool.
We ran late the day of checkout, and didn't even return to the hotel until 12:45 to pack, when checkout was 12pm. The nice lady at the desk said, take all the time you need.
All in all I thought this place was excellent, especially for the $79 a night that we payed. I've never written a review before, but after reading the terrible ones, I just had to write and defend this place!!

This is a large hotel but only one of two elevators worked during our 3-day stay. Our two double bed room was ok, of average to small size. There were only two luggage carts available. This hotel paled in quality and value compared to others during our 10-day Colorado visit.

This property is a dump. Lobby not renovated in decades, bar in disrepair - and incredibly gloomy which probably explains the total lack of patrons.

My biggest problem is the attitude of the management which is "oh well, that's the way it is". The whole place just has this distressed feeling about it.

Good points (a few) - free high-speed internet that actually works. The location is not as bad as described by others, the neighborhood you drive through to get here isn't so hot (from I-70), but the actual area is fine, small malls and shops, high rise office buildings, etc. The photo on the web page was taken by a very creative photographer - the hotel is not in a wooded area but surrounded by other big buildings and right on a busy street.

I mentioned the lobby - as of today it is half torn up with no sign of construction. I just figured out why - there is a big red "stop work order" posted on the window. The hotel was doing MAJOR renovation without permits. Not good. This project clearly involves electrical, fire control, etc. Majorly NOT GOOD.

My room is clean, but suffers from unmatched furniture, a horrible desk chair that is wobbly (most 4-points I've been in have new task chairs at the desk), no outlet to plug in my charger but had to scrounge around to find something to unplug. Just all very tired and badly decorated. It does have the new 4 points bed which is OK but certainly isn't up to Westin or Sheraton standards. Horrible amenities in the bath. My favorite part is a little sign in the shower asking me to shower with the bathroom door open to avoid setting off the smoke detector with the steam.

Despite being Sheraton Gold my requests were not honored - no King size bed, etc. and the only thing I got for my status was a bigger holder for my keys - no other ammenities offered.

Avoid this property.

stayed here during labor day weekend. rooms are small, and toilets are very cramped. They actually make european hotel toilets appear roomy-- go figure.
the paint was peeling and carpets pretty faded. The exterior doesn't give any comfort..
location is good-- if you have a car, it's just minutes from downtown and other areas.. overall, not worth the sheraton name

After reading the other reviews, I was a bit worried about our stay here. But they were wrong. The fire alarm was malfunctioning the day that we checked in and the front desk seemed unable to tell us whether there was really a fire or not. But that certainly isn't enough to ruin a trip. The Four Points Cherry Creek was very nice and much bigger than sheraton.com would lead you to believe. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Room service breakfast came very quickly every morning. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They offer a shuttle to downtown sites but won't go during rush hour.
