After a long journey we arrived in the lobby to find a warm welcome, fruit-infused ice water AND oatmeal raisin cookies...and that's before we even got to our room! We had a "mountain view" on the sixth floor which was beautiful, particularly for watching sunsets and thunderstorms. The king bed was firm with an extraordinarily cozy duvet (washed for each guest; I appreciated not having "used" blankets and bedspreads). It left this insomniac sleeping for an amazing seven hour stretch! We purchased a couple of diet beverages and were astonished to return to our room with a large bottle of our favorite chilling in the ice bucket! The housekeeping is meticulous; in fact the whole experience was one of our best in a city hotel. The air conditioner, although very efficient, was noisy. We only wished for a more extensive cable TV channel selection as well as a schedule, since there was none on-screen. For security, the building is unaccessible to those other than room key holders from 10 pm to 6 am. For a woman traveling alone, I would imagine this would be a definite plus.
Flatlanders might enjoy having a mountain view room!
