“Wow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013 via mobile

Took the drive from Denver down through Idaho Springs then on up Mt Evans. The windy road is a little scary in parts no outside rail. Unfortunately we visited after Labor Day and the road was closed at Summit Lake, you had to hike the last 5 miles. Scenery around the lake is amazing, breathtaking, hiked a short way along the trail, high altitude so be careful, drink plenty of water before and during your visit, you may be lucky enough to see some wildlife. There is a national park entry fee which was very minimal.

“Beautiful view, but limited pull overs to enjoy it along its way.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

It's a beautiful ride uphill. Worth your time and effort. But it can be too crowded and limit any expectations of enjoying your view in a rather peaceful, private manner. Went over the labor day weekend, therefore, it was very crowded for us. Although the ride was indeed scenic, it has a very limited number of pullovers for your to stop midway and enjoy the scenery to avoid heavy crowds.

“Best byway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

It's the best byway so far I have driven. Summer might be the best time to visit this route. It's chill at the peak of mount.

Highly recommend to drive up to the mountain. Very enjoyable views, and fresh air. I have been here a number of times with friends, family and solo.

“Great Way To Experience The Mountains!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

The drive to the Mount Evans road is fantastic in both directions. Scenic views abound and the rocky ridges are picturesque around every corner. The roads that wind through the passes are full of curves and the speed limits are not fast, but the views are spectacular. Great photo opportunities abound.
