“Excellent all around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Just stayed at this Embassy Suites. Every aspect was first rate. The rooms, the staff, the breakfast and the daily evening cocktail hour. I highly reccomend it. If you are going to meeting at the convention center, this is the place to stay.

Room Tip: Only down side was ... no hot tub in the spa.

Think you know what Embassy Suites is all About? Think again. This hotel is very upscale in appearance. The location is a dream! The staff is all top notch, from the front desk to hospitality and housekeeping all were super friendly and professional.

While the property is pricey, and they do charge $29 for valet parking, this is a very nice property in a great location just off the 16th street mall area in Denver. The staff is very friendly and hospitable, and very service-oriented. The valets were wonderful, and the bellman brought our luggage up very quickly, brought it into the room and then he went and got us ice in the ice bucket, all with a smile. Common areas are spotless and nicely decorated. Nice view from the common areas. There is a free manager's reception in the evening with snacks and unlimited beer, wine, and mixed drinks. And a full breakfast with made-to-order omelets and other hot food, fruit, etc. The room is a large roomy suite. We had a very comfy King bed, with really comfy luxe bedding. Nice big bathroom with tub and shower. Room was very clean. I would have liked a little better rate, even though I got a reduced rate of $180 - but add in the $29 valet (which does include all in-and-out privileges.

Room Tip: The higher floors will have a better view.

I attended a business conference which was held at this hotel. It is a very large Embassy Suites with Valet Parking, at least 12 stories, many rooms, and immaculate facilities. It was first class in every respect.

The room was typical Embassy Suites style with a front living room and rear bedroom. The furnishings were well maintained, the carpeting looked clean and fresh, and there was a small refrigerator, microwave, 2-cup coffee maker and wet bar. The bathroom had a long vanity, with only 1 sink. The sheer length of the vanity made it very easy to arrange our toiletries. All of the faucets and bath fixtures seemed well maintained and worked well. There was a king-sized bed with many pillows and it was very comfortable. Large flat-screen TVs were present in each of the rooms. There were only 2 minor issues with the room. As is typical of all newer hotels, the lighting in the room was dim, necessitating that every lamp be turned on in order to see clearly. Secondly, the A/C heating/cooling was unequal between the front living room and the rear bedroom. As long as everyone was in only 1 of the rooms, then there wasn't any problem. With people in both the living room and bedroom, then it was more of a challenge to get the temperature correct for each person.

Housekeeping did a top notch job turning the room over each morning. The staff at the Registration Desk were a little abrupt, but they were efficient and so we only dealt with them for a couple of minutes. With 4 elevators available, the wait was a little longer than desired, but understandable because of all the floors. If you're attending a conference, you'll find that the banquet rooms are all on the 2nd floor and very nice. They were spacious, with good lighting, and they didn't freeze us out like many hotels.

Overall, it was a very nice hotel and I would highly recommend it.

I stayed here for 30 nights and enjoyed what this newest downtown hotel had to offer. Experienced great staff hospitality from all levels. Nice perfect beds and pillows. Suites are large enough to move around in. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Love the cook to order free breakfast and its nice to have a hotel that offers top shelf liqueurs during their free social hours. Gym & pool area have newest equipment that actually works. Hotel is within walking distance to everything downtown. I stayed here for business and loved the large business center room & when I needed something scanned the front desk took care of it pronto. My family came down for a week as well and my kids also enjoyed this hotel and its amenities as well as the friendly atmosphere this hotel provides. Any problems I experienced during my stay was taken care of promptly to my satisfaction. They're are other hotels in the area that offer more in terms of resort style. But if you need a great comfortable place that won't break the bank and offers both business & family atmosphere then this is the place. The restaurant also serves up great food at reasonable prices.

The pipes leaked above our room and left us with no water for 8 hours and flooded carpet. For our inconvenience of being awakened at 4:26 a.m. to check out the leak and then being left with no water pressure for the shower, toilet or bathroom sink until afternoon, Then the carpet was left wet with no provision for drying. I insisted on another room and we were finally moved 12 hours later. Our inconvenience for the misfortune of landing this room was rewarded with a $10.00 gift certificate to Starbucks. Wow, $199.00 plus tax for the room. What a great vacation!

Property is beautiful but I'll never book there again. There are no provisions or back up plan when the hotel is sold out and several room have no water.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel

Dear Larraine C,

Thank you for your recent stay with us as well as your comments. I sincerely apologize that you had to experience our flood at 4am. We certainly can't predict these things and of course it happened on a night the hotel was completely sold out! This being said, we want every guest who stays with us to leave satisfied with our resolution to any problem they might encounter and this is obviously not the case for you. I have sent over a private message so we can make this right for you!

Sincerely,
David Belden
Director of Operations

This hotel is the nicest Embassy Suites I have stayed in. Common areas were beautifully designed and maintain. Other pluses were the free breakfast (made to order omelets!) and manager's happy hour. The only complaint I have is the tidiness of the room. Could have been cleaned a little deeper before our arrival.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 829 and it was quiet with a view of the Convention Center and Mile High Stadium.
