We almost didn't make it due to traffic problems on the I-70, but glad we did. This is a gem of a museum, and has so much to offer. We started off by going straight into the movie theatre to watch a short presentation from Harrison Ford before venturing out into the main hangar.
There is plenty on display here to please just about everybody, ranging from space exploration displays, to civil and military aircraft as well as avionics, uniforms and plenty more. When you think you've almost seen it all, you stumble across something else! There was also a huge globe spinning on a cushion of air.
I loved the B1 bomber they had in the corner. I was amazed at how large it was, yet surprised at how small the bomb bays were. They had a good selection of nuclear bombs and other ordnance (presumably all disarmed!) on show too.
Regrettably, I didn't manage to see everything before it closed for the day, if only I'd have arrived an hour or two earlier. Oh well, this museum is a good enough reason to return to Denver.
