“Denver Art”

Just finished with a great Van Gogh exhibit seen no where else in the nation. Good western art presentation and a very good native American exhibit

“Not impressive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

I've been to museums across the world and this is a pretty average museum. The modern collection is so tiny as well, they need to expand and show more.

“Wonderful museum”

The Van Gogh show was extremely well-curated. Great museum all around with lots of interactive exhibits and interesting and unusual arrangement of art.

“Van Gogh Exhibit was Awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

This exhibit really put DAM in a new stratosphere for me. Did the audio tour and loved it. The museum ran this exhibit very efficiently and you had ample time to soak in the evolution of a great artist.

“Great collections, accessible, kid-friendly activities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Very accommodating for all ages. Can be confusing the first visit due to the newer bldg and the older, although they connect via a closed-in walkway or you can cross the street. There is a parking garage, street parking, or public pay parking lots (uncovered).
Lots of staff to help with planning your visit and finding different areas. Beautiful gift shop on 1st floor. Have art stations set up for children. Seating in most galleries with art books to peruse. All kinds of art to suit any style.
Plenty of bathrooms, handicap accessibility, cafe, restaurant, coffee station, elevators, stairs, audio tours of some of the current/traveling exhibitions.
Conveniently located in downtown Denver just a few blocks away from Civic Park, Denver County Bldg, The State Capitol, and 16th Street Mall (with free shuttle service). The brand new History Colorado Museum (state-of-the-art) is just 1 block away as well as the Denver Public Library directly across the street.
