“Interesting and fun stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

This is a small museum but I have a lot of love and respect for fireman and wanted to see how the fire station had grown over the years. There is a $6.00 per person fee to tour. Small children would love this place since they have small hats, boots, coats and pants they can change into. They have plenty of these items too so several children can enjoy the experience. There is a firetruck they can climb up in and play around although they were smart and disconnected the horns. :)

“Small but lots of history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

Small museum located in Denver's old fire station #1. Old fire engines, hand carts, an old fire alarm wall and more. If you are interested in fire fighting history or old modes if transport, it is worth a look when you visit Denver.

“Great place to see firefighter memorabilia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

We were in town from California to see a concert at the Pepsi Center. We stumbled along the Denver firefighters museum. It is inside an original fire station. I sent some photos home to our firefighter son-in-law. I wish we had something line this back home. I specially liked the locker room. Great job Denver

“Small but packed with fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

My friend and I brought my 17 month old twin boys here. We were impressed with how much of the museum is hands on: fire truck, dispatch center board, firefighter dress up, fireman's pole, coloring stations, stop-drop-roll mat, etc.

My boys were a little young for some of it but they had a great time.

The gift shop had some really great stuff, too.

This is not large so you only need an hour or so to get through the whole thing. Since it is located just a few blocks from the 16th street mall, it is easy to find more to do without needing to move your car.

Plenty of parking in lots, garages, and on the street is available.

“Fun for Kids and Adults”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

Took my two grand kids, 4 and 7 mos. plus three adults last Tuesday, 2/11. Small enough to corral and interest a very active four year old boy, nice toddler play area on the second floor, many interactive activities. I learned some new things, too. Can imagine it's pretty crowded on weekends, but for a mid-week activity, it's great, especially when weather precludes outdoor activities.... or you need a break from them.
