“Kid paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2012

This is an awesome place to take your children to learn and have tons of fun at the same time. First visit, my son was 4 and he didn't want to leave. We go back regularly. Every exhibit has a kid-friendly style but isn't boring for adults. IMAX movies are wonderful! Exhibits on Space, Egyptian mummies, Health, Colorado history, DINOSAURS!!! And more! There is always a special attraction that changes periodically that allows us to change things up. Yummy cafeteria on property as well. After a day at the museum, don't forget to bring your swimsuits, there are some fountains outside that the kids can play in while you enjoy a spectacular view of the Denver City skyline and mountains.

“Excellent museum for all ages”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2012

Went to Denver with 10 yr old granddaughter and her mother (attending a convention). We did all the 'usual' tourist things: mountains, zoo, aquarium. But this Museum was the highlight for us. Many of the exhibits are interactive - great for kids and adults. Many are just informative and interesting and quite a few have a video. It was like going to a physical National Geographic book. But the key to that museum are the docents who spend time with everyone talking about their specialties. The space exhibit had meteors and someone to talk about them... one on one. Granddaughter wants to be an astronaut! The exhibit on dinosaurs had several people who went on digs, how much more actual can you get? There was an area where you can see people working on actual bones for the eventual placement in the museum. One man, who was working, stopped to tell us what he was doing, how it was many times a jigsaw puzzle getting the bones aligned, what bone it was, where it was found, and on and on. Fascinating. Lizards and snakes - fun and again with docents who knew all about them. Don't know where they get all these volunteers as it seemed like there had to be 100 of them. These people were the defining factor making the place outstanding.

“Great Museum!”

This is a really high caliber museum experience. The dinosaur section alone could be a museum by itself. I think its just as good as the Smithsonian.

“Great place of a family of all ages”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2012

I love this museum. I bought a season pass last year and the kids loved it. It has an exhibit for just about anything your kids might be into at the time. They also change their big exhibits every 6 months to a year and sometimes they are free (or you get a discount if their not) for members. They have a sitting area where you can bring your own food and eat, so you can stay their longer. There's even one room (North American animals or something) that is NEVER busy, so if my kids are getting restless, I take them up to that room and they run around and look at the different exhibits and I can sit back and relax for a minute and re-group. Worth getting a membership and a lot of fun.
