“Wish we had more light”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

My company rented the zoo for our company picnic. It was great there there were no crowds but there were no lights once the sun went down limiting our options. The food at the picnic was average at best.

“I love the Denver Zoo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

The only bad thing about the Denver Zoo is that it's so popular, parking in their lot/garage is hard to get. If you can, take advantage of Denver's superb public transportation system and ride any one of the three bus routes that take you there. Also take advantage of the Zoo's periodic free admission days, though the crowds will be understandibly heavier. Overall, the Denver Zoo is a terrific place to spend time with your family, no matter what everryone's age is!

“Worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013 via mobile

This is a beautiful zoo with nice animal displays and a new elephant home that is gorgeous. Plenty of food vendors, beer stands, ice cream and popcorn. The Peacocks roam free and if you find yourself having a picnic lunch on a nice patch of grass in the zoo you will probably have the Peacocks for company! In the winter during Christmas time they have the Zoo Light Display that is pretty and a nice holiday tradition if you live in the area. I love going here with my Grandkids with a must stop in the nice gift shop. Plenty of rest rooms. And a days worth of adventures for the children!

“I'm Lost”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

The Denver Zoo has a variety of exhibit ages. Several are very new, enlightened, and beautiful. Others are old and dingy. The enlightened exhibits have lots of space and activities for the animals, providing them as nice an environment as they could have while in captivity.

On the other hand, the signage within the zoo is terrible. We found ourselves lost several times, and had a great deal of trouble finding the exit when we were ready to leave.
