“Bring your walking shoes and your camera!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

Anyone can find something fun to do or see at the Denver Zoo. Its is a large venue with every imaginable animal to see. The surrounding area is amazing with the Natural History Museum, Planetarium, and Imax theatre. The zoo covers a large area so bring your good walking shoes and a stroller if you are bringing little ones. I haven't been to a lot of zoos but my kids love the Denver zoo and all the animals.

“Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

It was hot and there were tons of school kids visiting the same day we did but our kids had fun anyway. Most of the animals were sleeping due to the heat and the elephant show that we raced across the zoo to see was terrible as they were training their young rhino for shows instead of using the elephants and the rhino was shy and wouldn't come out into the show area. Food was good at the cafe by the elephant area though and water fountains throughout for filling our water bottles, which was great. The kids enjoyed the carousel and train as well.

“Only so-so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

We stop at zoos in every city we visit and I found the Denver zoo only so-so. The collection is small. They did have a very kid friendly cafeteria and a neat African Wild Dog enclosure.

“Nice Zoo...”

It is a nice zoo, The animals seem healthy and treated well, you are not overwhelmed by the smell of animal filth. It is a beautiful, uplifting place to visit, great for kids.

“Great zoo that is getting better every year”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013 via mobile

The Denver zoo used to be a very small zoo but they are constantly upgrading the habitats and with the addition of the new pachyderm exhibit it makes for a nice (full) day. Lots of animals, lots of info, lots to do. Great way to spend a day with your family and kids. Or even multiple days with your kids. I think we will e getting the member pass.
