“Great Day Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Took my five year old and we absolutely loved this zoo. One of the best we have ever visited. So many animals and great viewing opportunities. The howling monkeys were great to see. Will visit again. The free roaming peacocks were an added bonus that my daughter loved.

“Go see the elephants!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

This is a huge well maintained zoo! Wear comfy shoes and bring your camera.

The animals seemed content and well taken care of. There's a great emphasis on conservation and they've done a great job providing detailed info on exhibits and the animals within. The exhibits were well built, recreating natural habitats better than any other zoo I've visited so far.

The Elephant Passage is very large, but for some reason on the day we visited the elephants seemed lonely and depressed. Maybe they were still getting used to the new environment. The parrot exhibit was great, as you are allowed to enter the exhibit with the parrots and purchase food pellets for hand feeding. It's a great way to interact with the birds and get some nice close-up pictures.

The whole zoo is a great family friendly attraction that probably requires multiple visits to cover the entire area. Great way to spend the day just strolling around the grounds.

“I always love the Denver Zoo! Animals and people are wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

I went for my birthday in June of 2012 and as always, I am touched and at home with the animals and people who work there. Always beautiful and serene. I support what they do and love the shows they put on, such as with the seals. It is one of my favorite places to go and visit.

“Toyota Elephant Passage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

The zoo has done a great job with their newest exhibit, the Toyota Elephant Passage. I have been able to experience twice now and continue to find new things that I haven't seen before. I love the new areas for the animals, it is more engaging I think for both the animal and the humans visiting. The cafes around the exhibit are very good as well and I like how the food matches the exhibit. Very well done.

“Beautiful Animals, Beautiful Zoo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

This very large zoo has beautiful animals and very nice exhibits that allow for excellent viewing. We enjoyed exploring, though it is not for the faint of heart or weak of knees, being 80 acres large. Covering the entire zoo quickly took us five hours. (There are scooters or wheelchair, stroller and wagon rentals for those who need wheels.) Be sure to stop for a great family picture around the hippo sculpture.
