The rooms are very nice, spacious and remind me of the Le Meridien in New York City. They are quiet, modern and nicely appointed, as is the entire hotel. The staff is efficient and friendly. Room cost @ $235/night -King bed (very comfortable), and separate room with pull-out couch.

On the downside, beware, ... the concierge is either wrong about details that he should know or he isn't available, and the workout room is very limited. Some of the rooms have mediocre views of other buildings and roof tops, so you may want to ask about the view from your room.

The hotel's restaurant is great for breakfast, and the name restaurant, "Kevin Taylor," is great for dinner.

The hotel has a Cadillac Escalade with a driver who will drive you to and from the hotel in the downtown area - and it actually works.

Overall, you'll be happy at this hotel. I'll go back.

My girlfriend and I spent our anniversary recently at Hotel Teatro. Pre arrival I called the concierge and was helped in arranging wine, chocolate covered strawberry's and a rose pedal turn down service. When we arrived we were surprised by the old style outside of the hotel and wondered what the inside had in store. We were instantly wowed, marble floors, great fixtures, music playing softly it was perfect. We checked in effortlessly and they upgraded us for the special occasion and congratulated us as well. Nice touch! Our room key was 20 years ahead of its time, more like a car key. Our room was amazing, all that one could want. I let my girlfriend go in first and she found the chocolate covered strawberry's and then the wine. The bathroom was spacious with a separate shower and tub. The only down side was our room looked at the convention center parking lot. But we didn't get the room for a view in downtown.

We called down to the bellmen to inquire about a ride to the Fillmore Auditorium for a concert and they said the hotel vehicle would be available in 10 minutes. We went down stairs and they had a brand new Hotel Teatro Cadillac Esclade with I think 20 inch rims we were shocked. Our driver was really nice. Took us to the concert and we arrived in style to say the least. People thought we were rock stars, and they picked us up when it was over.

The shower in the bathroom was also amazing, I have been meaning to call the hotel and ask them about there rainforest type shoer head that drips water on you from the top. Like its coming out of the ceiling.. Trully amazing and very very relaxing and romantic.

We were the youngest guest in the hotel but that didn't bother us. We lived it up. The restaurant was closed for a private party which was very inconvenient and they had a great rock band that we were not allowed to partake in watching.. Oh well we didn't let that spoil our trip and just had room service. Which was ok, I think it was the same food from the restaurant. Keep n mind they stop service alcohol in room service at 2am at this hotel and there is no min bar in the room!

This hotel is horribly overrated. The rooms are very small (And I am from New York where rooms are small). Rooms are bland, and way overpriced. Also, the staff was not helpful, and did not care about guests needs. I will never stay at the Teatro again, especially when there are some great true high-end hotels in Denver.

My husband and I vacationed in Denver in December. We stayed at the Hotel Teatro from the reviews posted on this site. It was okay, but I am sure there are other hotels that should be #1. The room was incredibly small, but it had a nice bathroom. The hotel is old, so if you are looking for a more updated hotel I don't recommend the Teatro. Also, it is a bit pricey for the size of the room. I would not stay here again.

A few weeks ago my husband and I were on our way to Cancun (or so we thought) to celebrate our honeymoon after a beautiful wedding when we found our flight cancelled due to the snowstorm.
My husband called Teatro at the last minute and explained the circumstances. Instantly the concierge arranged for a town car to take us back to the hotel where we found the guest service Manager waiting to greet us in the lobby. He made us feel so welcome and personally escorted us to our beautiful room. After my new husband galantly carried me across the threshold we found champagne and a rose petal turn down waiting for us. The agent who made our reservation planned all of this for us after hearing our story of dispair, without our even asking!
Anyway, the staff seemed to recognize us everywhere we went over the next 18 hours and afterwards we found ourselves comparing each hotel we went to against Teatro. Who would have guessed our most meaningful honeymoon memory would have taken place right here in Denver! Kudos to you Hotel Teatro!
