I ended up at Hotel Teatro due more to chance than planning, but I'm very glad I did! I was in town for a conference and the cheaper sanctioned hotels were booked by the time I could make my reservation. I decided the $40 difference wouldn't be so bad and the location was perfect. The actual stay was one of the most comfortable I've ever had. I usually get a backache and itchy skin from staying in hotels--- the bed and bed linens were beyond fabulous--- and getting a good night's sleep is critical when you're doing intense conference work 12 + hours a day. The real tub and separate shower were a treat. The turn down service with chocalate is always a nice touch. I also appreciated not being "nickle and dimed to death" since ethernet, wireless, bottled water etc were already included in the room rate. The were ALL very very nice and helpful. Friends ordered room service while we watched elections results and enjoyed the fine food and prompt service (pricey, but worth it).
The construction across the street was noticeable, but really not that bad, especially since I was up early and out during most of the day. The location in a downtown area to me means there will always be a certain amount of noise... but it did not interfere with my sound sleep at all. Overall, I would definitely book again when I return to downtown Denver.

  • Liked — Comfort and business support
  • Disliked — noise from construction (not much they can do about that)

Hotel Teatro's staff provided stellar service over a busy Halloween weekend. I was thoroughly impressed with the employees' attentiveness to my needs regardless of the seemingly rigorous demands of the wedding party also staying at the hotel over the weekend. The in-room dining service blew me away! Tori was extremely intent on making my dinner as fantastic as possible. I highly recommend the Hotel Teatro as a great place to stay in Denver, Colorado. I have raved about it to my grandparents enough-- quite possibly the pickiest people to walk the face of the earth--that they are staying there in a few weeks for two nights. Good luck, Hotel Teatro! Although you don't need it.

Dear joey22997:

Thank you for taking the time to relay a summary of your experience due to your recent visit to Hotel Teatro. I do apologize for the inconvenience & discomfort the breaking of the water pipe caused during your stay. As a result of the water pipe breaking unexpectedly we had to turn the water off briefly which caused small amounts of sediment to break away from the pipe resulting in the brown water. I know that our operations managers spoke with you during this incident & our management had the impression all was adequately resolved when speaking with you. Clearly, we were mistaken. I can assure you that the experience you had is not typical at Hotel Teatro.
Your recent stay is truly disheartening as we want to provide each guest with a comfortable stay. We take great pride in our hotel & hope you will consider staying with us again. Please contact Mark (Rooms Divisions Manager) & or myself Amy (Reservations Manager) to discuss your stay further.

I was in Denver for a conference, which normally has me staying at a Four Seasons or some equivalent thereof. I had never stayed at the Teatro before and did not know what to expect. I have to say that I was more than impressed, not only by the elegance and decor of the hotel, but also by its professional staff.
Everyone from the bell boys to the servers in the restaurant were courteous and provided incredible personal service. The woman who organized our conference details, Paula, was immaculate. She even found my cell phone after I had inadvertently left it onsite somewhere. There was also free wireless internet and an easy to use business center. This hotel was perfect for a business trip, but given its beautiful atmosphere, I think it would make a great romantic getaway as well.

I am a seasoned traveler and while I always hoped to be wowed, it rarely happens. This hotel is very elegant, extraordinarily comfortable, beautifully appointed and the service was excellent- we were certainly wowed. We flew in to drop out bags off and run to a dinner date, the doorman was nimble with getting our stuff to our rooms and even took us to our restaurant in the hotel car. Breakfast the next morning was great.
