We spent 4 nights at The Teatro, booked it through Perfect Escapes, comp upgrade, welcome gift, early check in late check out. First impressions nice hotel, when we where checking in I asked for upgrade the girl got all flustered and said we already had a superior queen. I said we could have a complimentary upgrade and could we have a corner room as I had heard they were really nice. She said they were the best but also more expensive. After disappearing into the back a guy came out repeated all of the above to him then he disappears, think the boss came out then, apologised for the delay and all the "confusion" checked us into a "king" room was lovely, view rubbish. We asked for an exchange and was told because of work across the road rooms with views were limited... Bed was fabulous, bathroom lovely shower and bath ( separate ) great.
Concierge Carolyn lovely very helpful. Bell boys brilliant. Paul Adam, Wes and Brad. Shuttled us around to quite a few places full of information, very friendly. Turndown service each night a nice touch. Apart from the last night which turned out to be the most expensive didn't get turndown and didn't get our 8am alarm call we got the follow up at 8.15. We checked out and I remarked to the staff about the turndown ( or lack of it ) and the missed alarmcall. the manager Mark came out very apologetic said if we where in Denver again he would personally deal with our requests. Overall it is a very nice hotel, housekeeping spot on. Area is really good Larimer Square a couple of small blocks away , 16th street mall just up the road. All in all if you can get a good price stay there..........

We stayed at the Hotel Teatro for six nights and it was a most pleasurable stay. The rooms have just been remodled and they are beauitful with all the ammenities and more that one would want.
The best part was the service! The Bell Boys and Concerige were helpful with every aspect of the city from shopping to where I would go to have my hair cut. (They were all men but did an excellent job of recommending Crush Hair Salon for my new do!
They drove us where ever we wsihed to go (within their mileage limits) and picked us up. They even waited while I sent all the extras I purchased by UPS. I can't say enough about the service.
The Hotel is within blocks of the Convention Center where my husband had meetings for the hospital and also within blocks to shopping and so many restaurants we couldn't count them all.

  • Liked — Wonderful bed! Big bath with lavish ceiling head shower. Nice view. Service!!!!!!
  • Disliked — The maids did not speak english and couldn't understand what we were saying

Wonderful staff, superb service, book the corner room for views and loads of room, huge baths, excellent maid service, etc.
I have payed a lot more at other boutique hotels that in no way matched this place.

To be honest, on my few trips out to Denver I usually play the safe card and go with the "no-suprises" chain hotels. I allowed my cousin to convince me to try out the Teatro as he works just down the street from the property. I thought, why not? I guess I could go for a smaller, more boutique hotel in downtown Denver. Let me tell you, I'm GLAD I did.

As an avide user of Quikbook.com, I found my amazingly cheap travel rate (STILL don't know how they do it!) and was on my way! The first class service and attention at this place was served on a silver platter. I'm used to getting treated like a regular guest at most places but to be so pampered at such an establishment, and for only $150 a night, I was truley amazed.

In short? Perfect location, large, comfortable rooms, a great place to unwind and relax in downtown Denver and enjoy a glass of wine while sitting under the mountaintops. If I could live here, I would. No more Denver chains for me, it's the Teatro all the way - they know what a mountain vacation is all about!!

Starting with the personnel who took our reservation at this hotel everyone hear believes in hospitality. We had to be in Denver for a week this June. After calling a few hotels my wife said the people on the phones at the Hotel Teatro were the best. We booked a suite and checked in on a Saturday night in time for a wonderful dinner at Kevin Taylors restaurant just off the lobby. This is the more upscale of two great restaurants located in the hotel and it is a delight.
Throughout our stay the staff at this hotel extended themselves in way I have seldom seen anywhere. The desk personnel, the concierge, the bell captains, the office staff, and housekeeping were always ready and eager to serve. Each day complimentary transportation was provided to us by the hotel and the bell captains who did the driving were also pretty good tour guides.
Our room was nicely appointed and the free internet service made it possible for me to stay in regular touch with my office back in New York. The view of the mountains didn't hurt either.
The location of the hotel was another plus. There were quite a few other really good restaurants as well as shopping within a few blocks.
Will stay at Teatro on our visit next year for sure.
