My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at this wonderful boutique hotel. We travel extensively around the world, and are very finicky. We were delighted with the service and support at this beautiful hotel. The room was well appointed, and the bathrooms luxurious. We were taken by van wherever we wanted in the vicinity, a nice touch for out of towners. The area has many interesting restaurants. Breakfast in the hotel dining room was delicious- the oatmeal was just how we make it at home. The concierge was knowledgeable. We were given complimentary wine and chocolate truffles sent by the manager. Since we usually stay at the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton, we were hesitant about this property, but would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Denver- especially since the Performing Arts Center is right across the street!

I find myself in Denver often for business and as often as they have room my choice is the Teatro. I only wish everyone could experience the staff and understated elegance that this hotel provides. True there is construction going on across the street, but the pluses of this hotel far outway the construction. Just ask for a higher floor, when booking

We live about 50 miles from Denver and chose this hotel for a birthday celebration, particularly because we wanted a smaller boutique hotel with high service standards.

The location is good as it is near the performing arts center, the 16th street mall and all of the downtown activities.

The check-in area is rather simple and non-descript. We had a small suite with a bedroom, living room and two full baths. The bed was very comfortable, the room appointments were lovely and the room was very clean. The bathroom was good sized, with a nice size soaking tub and a separate shower with a rainfall shower head (which I love) and great tile and counter tops with terrific toiletry amenities.

There was a printer/fax/copier in the room although we hadn't taken a computer with us as we were trying to "not work" for a day.

The concierge was great. Very responsive, helpful and pleasant. The staff were very attentive. They managed to find my husband a stocking hat (still with the tags on it) at 7:30 p.m. on a Sunday evening, as we were going on a horse drawn carriage ride and he hade forgotten his hat. We found the bell staff, housekeeping and front desk staff to deliver a high level of service.

Downsides: The room we had, on the 5th floor, had a brick wall for a view and there was some type of drilling going on during the afternoon. It didn't bother us much and didn't last long. Since we were there for a birthday celebration, we had planned on ordering dessert when we returned after dinner. The menu said room service was served until 10 p.m. We called at 9:30 p.m. and they could not provide the dessert we had chosen as the "kitchen was closing." They offered an alternative, which I presumed would have been served warm (a chocolate molten cupcake) but it was quite cold. They did comp the dessert but we would have preferred to pay for the one we had selected. Our breakfast was also delivered 15 minutes after the requested time, which we confirmed the evening before.

Overall we found the hotel to be of high quality and we would stay here again based on the quality of the staff, the well appointed rooms and the location. Room Service could use a little work but it isn't enough of a drawback to take away from the excellant service provided by the rest of the staff.

  • Liked — high service level in most areas
  • Disliked — Room service needs some improvement

A boutique hotel with great service. The restaurant recommendations from the concierge were all excellent, and the "Escalade Service" was a really nice perk. As the rest of the positive reviews say, the hotel is nice, comfortable, and convenient. One caveat is that there is on-going construction going on across the street from the hotel so ask for a room away from the noise. The front desk was very nice about letting us change rooms after we realized how loud is was.

We live outside of Denver and wanted to celebrate and chose this hotel because of it's location & reputation. We had a wonderful time! We had a Queen/Queen and while it was only on the 3rd floor & we didn't have much of a view, we did have a corner room which was very nice. The rooms look just as they do in the photos. The beds were comforatable although a little softer than I prefer but I don't think others would think the beds were soft. If you can, eat at Restaurant Kevin Taylor, that was fantastic, definitely Denver's best restaurant. The service was wonderful. Everyone seemed to genuinely care about our needs. The bathroom was very nice except I'm not personally a fan of the rain shower head in the ceiling but there was a side spray shower so it was fine. Overall, this was a wonderful stay!
