monaco's website promised copier, printer and fax in each room. There arent any of the above in the rooms. Promised Starbuck's coffee in room. THere's not. Some weird offbrand instead. Promised gourmet snacks in honor fridge. M and Ms and Oreos and Hershey bar. Kids next door making noise til late at night. Dark dark room. Promised suite facing 17th street. Turns out no monte carlo suites face that way, so had to look into a brick building instead on a dark side street. The price of $270 a night is excessive for what was given. The two line phones dont workto let people ring into the room, if one line is plugged into computer. The price of $22 a night to park is excessive given one tips the valet $2 each time to take away and retrieve car. There are parking lots for $10 a short walk away i found. The staff was pleasant, but when complained about lack of amenities promised, it was not followed up on by manager, just sort of let to drift in space. I cannot recommend the hotel for business travelers, or anyone who needs a room with a decent view and sunlight. The heavy drapes on windows did not open all the way. The desk advertised in room is not a computer desk, but a dining table. Really tough to work on. Again, if the price was $70 a night, then maybe. But at $270, for Denver, that is a very high price and things should be as promoted.
