My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two months back in 2001. I cannot say enough good things about it. We stayed in the two story suite, which was so huge. It was a great place to stay for an extended time, because it was about the same size as our apartment back home. The full kitchen was great. We also had a nice living room with a wood burning stove, an extra murphy bed downstairs, a dining room, a downstairs full bathroom, and an upstairs loft with a bedroom and a bathroom.

The breakfast was great, I loved the waffle maker. The dinner was also great. Staying there for so long, we came to know the staff. Every night at dinner, the bartender would make us our drinks before we even asked, and everyone was so friendly. After it warmed up in May, once a week they had dinner outside. This was the best part of the stay. They had themes, such as disco where they handed out disco ball necklaces, and the food was great bbq food. They also had a dj. It was really fun.

The location was great. As some people mentioned it isn't the best neighborhood, but we went to the Denny's up the street at 4 am a couple times since my husband worked nights and we were fine. It was very close to down town and the shuttle was also great. The pool was very nice, we were able to use it at night even when it was cold since it was heated.

If I had to go back to Denver again, I would stay here in a heart beat. It definately felt like home.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights with my wife and 5-year old son. I believe we had a "studio" room with a large bed and a pullout sofa bed. I mostly agree with the other reviews. It was an excellent hotel. Our room was very large, very clean, and pleasantly decorated and furnished with modern decor. Our room was on the first floor. We did hear a little noise from people walking around on the floor above us, but it wasn't too distracting. The breakfast was delicious and voluminous! We took advantage of the complementary dinner one evening and it was very good considering there was no extra charge for it. The location was also excellent - only a 5-minute drive or (I would guess) about a 20-minute walk from Denver's Historic District and river. The only negative aspect of the hotel was its rather shabby appearance on the outside. It could do with a new coat of paint and some landscaping. Overall, I think this hotel was excellent value for the money. We would certainly stay at this hotel again the next time we visit Denver.

We had five nights in the Residence Inn and having stayed in other Residence Inns throughout the US we roughly knew what to expect.

When we arrived we found it fairly easily but the surrounding neighborhood didn't look to friendly. However the whole time we were there we didn't experience any trouble and even walked to a local restaurant one night (La Loma) and visited the local supermarket a couple of times (at night).

All the staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The rooms were excellent and well maintained and clean. We used the pool a couple of times but it was very small and not really a pleasant place to sit for too long - our kids (15 and 11) enjoyed it though.

For a 'free' buffet breakfast it was excellent. One of the best - I can't fault it, and always very clean and food quickly replenished.

I'd go back.

I am used to staying in a presidential suite at five star luxury hotels. This hotel is one of the best. The size is amazing-they are two floors and very open! The baths are updated with granite, one bath upstairs and one bath downstairs. New furniture and new beds, and wonderful colors, reds, blues, golds, etc. Kitchen has all appliances, yet the appliances and the kitchens need to be updated. There is a wood buring fireplace (should be gas) which is quite nice too, you do not find many fireplaces in hotels. The outside needs to be updated as well. The views can be nice if you are on the east side, you can see views of downtown Denver, Six Flags, etc. The location is not bad, but you have to drive to downtown (not too far, just a short, straight drive). No hotel restaurant, but a great breakfast in the morning!

Was highly satisfied with most aspects - arrived a little before check-in & no room available but that was my problem. Staff extremely courteous & helpful. Coffee & newspapers in the lobby plus free internet.
Accommodation exceptional in terms of size & facilities. Fully equipped kitchen including fridge & dishwasher. Small welcome food parcel - most welcoming. Large living area including formal dining table. Two well equipped bathrooms. To be honest you could happily stay here for months for example if business required.
Complimentary breakfast was the best "freebie" during our 4 week travels. The shuttle into the centre & back was an excellent feature saving substantially on taxi fares.
Despite the need for a lick of paint here & there outside the buildings and a just OK pool I would stay here again anytime & hope to get the opportunity sometime soon. Denver is a city well worth visiting.
