Was highly satisfied with most aspects - arrived a little before check-in & no room available but that was my problem. Staff extremely courteous & helpful. Coffee & newspapers in the lobby plus free internet.
Accommodation exceptional in terms of size & facilities. Fully equipped kitchen including fridge & dishwasher. Small welcome food parcel - most welcoming. Large living area including formal dining table. Two well equipped bathrooms. To be honest you could happily stay here for months for example if business required.
Complimentary breakfast was the best "freebie" during our 4 week travels. The shuttle into the centre & back was an excellent feature saving substantially on taxi fares.
Despite the need for a lick of paint here & there outside the buildings and a just OK pool I would stay here again anytime & hope to get the opportunity sometime soon. Denver is a city well worth visiting.

My husband and I stayed 10 nights in this hotel. We have stayed at many hotels, even a couple of 5 diamond luxury hotels and the Residence Inn's helpful staff has definitely surpassed the ratings of the 5 diamond luxury hotels where we have stayed. Staff was superb, helpful, and very efficient in all tasks. The room has been updated. It has nice furnishings & very clean. The kitchen is large with full size appliances, actually it is larger than some apartment kitchens.

The hotel serves an exceptional breakfast each morning with a great choice of food items. Their light dinners Monday thru Thursday has been exceptional as well. The hotel provides free shuttle to the downtown restaurants too if you choose not to take advantage of the light dinners.

The free high speed internert service and shuttle was a plus in choosing this hotel. The free shuttle takes you anywhere downtown you would like to go and we always had safe and very conscientious drivers.

This is an excellent choice in a hotel. We could not have been treated any better in a hotel than the superb treatment of this staff. By the way, this has been the first time we have every posted a rating on the internet on a hotel but because of the excellent service that we received at this hotel, we felt compelled to write this review. Would I stay here again? You betcha and we intend to do so on our next trip back to Denver in 6 months to a year.

We stayed in this hotel for just one night. We had the studio, which was plenty for the two of us. The room was clean and neat. The carpet looked newer. I’ll agree that the outside needs a little work but all in all not a bad place. The hot breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. The free shuttle downtown was great. We used it to go to the Rockies game and then they picked us up right by Union Station after the game. There were plenty of people around so we felt safe.

The only problem we had with our room was the NOISEY upstairs “neighbors”. The walls/floors are very thin between rooms/apts. At 1245am it sounded like they were dropping bowling balls on the floor. We called security, in a few mins we could hear them ask them to be quiet. All was fine until 6am when they started up again. We didn’t call security this time.. . After 30 mins it was quiet again. There was also a Pre-season Broncos game in town… and it seemed we had a bunch of young guys upstairs. So my only suggestion would be…. if you are a light sleeper is to ask for an upper room so you don’t have to worry about obnoxious neighbors. Otherwise the hotel was fine.

When we arrived, the check in person appoligized because our penthouse was booked, so they upgraded us for free to a better room. There were good things and bad things.....the bad things were not really bad. I am not sure if they would keep me from staying at the Residence Inn Downtown again....Example: Mapquest was misleading. The Residence Inn was further from the train station than I thought and from downtown, but the free shuttle to the train station and to town canceled that out. The Inn is in an iffy neighborhood, but we had no trouble and the check in lady was very upfront about where it was unsafe to walk at night. When we first walked into our room it smelled musty and stale, but it had 3 TVS, a large furnished kitchen, two large comfortable rooms, and a very comfortable living room. I slept very well the two days I was there. I did not notice any smell after 15 minutes. We did not have maid service. I thought maybe that was how Inns worked. I asked the check in desk about it they apoligized. For some reason some rooms did not have their garbage emptied or any other maid service. We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, but it was very clorinated. I have never been in a more clorinated pool. I was surprised by the free breakfast. I am used to the "continental" free breakfast of cold pastries and hot coffee on a table by check in, but they had a room with table and chairs and lots of breakfast choices. My mother-in-law enjoyed making her own waffles. I enjoyed having eggs, bacon, and biscuits. We all thought the breakfast was good. The Thursday night vegetable pasta dinner was not as popular. My in-laws were unhappy with it, but they ate it anyway because they are "frugal" people who like free meals. My husband and I found the by-jeeves delivery menu in our room. You could order from many restaurants in the nieghborhood and have them delivered to your room for $5.00 delivery charge plus tip to the driver. It was very reasonable. We ordered from the Celtic Tavern. I had the venison tips with cranberrys, pecans, and wild rice. My husband ordered the shepards pie. We finished with the bread pudding. The delivery was fast and the food was excellent. In fact the bread pudding was the best that I ever had. We had a comedy of errors in the laundry room that was very frustrating. First the soap despenser was out of order, but the check in desk gave us free soap. After dumping the soap in we discovered the wash machine was broken. The check in gave us another free soap and quarters. After we washed our cloths, we dried them. We discovered the drying time they suggested was not enough so we had to scroung for more quarters. I think I might give it another try because any place can have one off moment.

It was just OK... we arrived and although you can see the downtown city from the hotel, it is not exactly downtown (although the free shuttle is nice).

We arrived and checkin was a breeze. Our room (412) was right across the way from the main building. It is true, the outside is a little old, but the rooms are great. We had a studio and for 3 people it was more than enough room. Central air conditioning was nice, and beds were very comfortable.

However, the breakfast - although very good selection, was in a room upstairs in the main building that was WAY too small for all guests. We headed to breakfast on a Sunday, and there was a long wait for tables. They definitely need to upgrade the facility because when the hotel is booked, the isn't enough room.

Also- although there is plenty to do in Denver, the hotel pool area and pool are also WAY too small.

I think with a little upgrading, the hotel could be a lot better. Although I have to say, its got the Marriot name, so you really can't go wrong. It was comfortable, clean and the breakfast was very good (they also serve a light dinner/snacks and drinks during the week, but not on the weekends), but they could use a little upgrading.

Overall, a good choice for those who are traveling with a few people that want more room and comfy conditions. However, if you are looking for luxury, look downtown for some of those hotels.

Hope this review helps- I think it was a pretty fair one. Thanks!
