I was on a business trip with 6 others from my company and the Jet was recommended by our client since it was located close to the client's office.

The hotel does not have a 'real' lobby, but rather a lounge with a large bar that was decorated in black and silver. The front desk was in the back and off to the side so you could not really see it when you entered and the person behind the desk could not see who was comming in.

Since there were 7 of us in our travel group, we all got a chance to see a variety of rooms the hotel had to offer by visiting each other. Well, if you like contemporary K-Mart, this hotel would be your taste. The furnishings were modern, black & silver and the beds squeeked with the least bit of movement. Those with patios/balconies had full glass swing doors with only one lock which did not give a good sense of security. One of us had a room with sliding glass doors where the door latch was actually broken and thus appeared not to lock. There were also many inconsistencies between our 7 rooms, Some had hot water pots, some not, some had ample lighting, some not, some had soap and shampoo provided each day, some not. I also had towels in my room that had dark stains on them which one can only imagine what the source was.

Each floor had a lounge area when you got off the elevator. However, they are usually dark or dimly lit so you have to go to the wall switch to raise the light level. This also leads to a security concern. One evening we were meeting in one of the guest rooms and encountered an intoxicated person in the dimly lit lounge area on the 3rd floor. We proceeded to the guest room and after we entered the room the person came to the door and knocked. When we refused to open the door, he began banging on it and shouted obscenities demanding we open the door. It took multiple calls to the front desk and a threat to call 911 before someone arrived.

Another incident occured when a homeless person followed a member of our party into the lobby and to the elevator without being stopped by any of the hotel staff. The person being followed had to turn the person away. The homeless person was later seen sleeping on one of the sofas in the lobby while the staff just walked by and ignored him. Needless to say security at this Hotel is a concern!

The lounge gets a bit active around happy hour and unless you are in your 20's, tatooed, pierced and dressed like you are ready to engage in the oldest profession, you will probably not fit in. Also, later in the evening the lounge has porno playing on the TV.

We all tried to move from this hotel to another but there was a convention in town that had the other hotels fully booked.

Check out is another concern. The Hotel provides you with an invoice/receipt, but beware! The charge on your credit card will not match your receipt. All of us had extra charges added, which when we contacted the hotel we were told were for items from the mini bar. None of us used the mini bar! One person had $90.00 in extra charges.

I do not recommend this hotel!

After reading the reviews posted at the time, I was both intrigued and reluctant to stay at the Jet. My wife and I (in our 50's) ending up staying three nights on St Patricks Day Weekend, and had a fine time. We knew that there were loud music nights Thursday - Saturday, and that this was a traditional party weekend in Lodo, so we asked for a quiet room, and got one, on the fourth floor. The music evenings was quite loud and not our cup of tea in the lobby/nightclub, but was not a factor upstairs. The staff was helpful and informative about the area; we had not been there before. Acoustic music on Saturday afternoon in the lobby was excellent. We were in town via Amtrak (very convenient - 1 block away) for the St Pat's parade (also very convenient - 1 block away) and had a clean, modern, well-equipped base. We brought our 70+ parents to the room for their opnion, and they found it fine as well. Sure we had a complaint or two, but all were adjusted promptly by the staff. If you know what to expect, and ask the right questions (read reviews and then check them out - as with any small hotel), the Jet is worth the trip and the price. I recommend it.

A friend of mine that lives in Denver said this was a new swank place that I needed to check out on my business stay in Denver. When I first checked in, the lobby and elevators reminded me a bit of a "W" Hotel - which I like, but consider to be "lipstick on a pig" - nice decoration, but kinda dingy underneath....the Jet is VERY dingy/dirty underneath in comparison. The price of my room was close to $400/night, so my initial impression wasn't good. Got to my room, unpacked a bit and looked forward to settling into bed. When peeling back the bed covers, my initial impression was that maybe the bed sheets hadn't been changed. No, I thought, I just have a bad vibe from the hotel. So I proceeded to hop under the covers.......where I felt broken up chips pieces. GROSS! GROSS! GROSS! I repacked and went down to request my money back. The front desk accommodated when I explained the situation. They offerred to move me to a different room and reduce my room price. I just couldn't stay - if you can't get the bedsheets changed after someone checks out, what else might you miss or skimp on!!!! I went over to the Hotel Monaco where I'm never disappointed.

I checked out the hotel for a work stay and when I booked for a Thursday night I was not warned they had cabaret nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The cabaret was loud, loud, loud and beyond loud. I also had the cabaret performers changing next door to me which meant every ten minutes their door would open and close. Plus, at 10.30pm, they had a false fire alarm that went on for fifteen minutes. By this stage I was so irate at the noise from downstairs I decided to take my chances by staying in the room. Like one of the other reviewers I also travel for work and this is probably one of my worst experiences.

All of the above happened after having spent a week in Las Vegas for a conference and all I wanted was a quiet relaxing night. So, all in all, stay here if you don't require any sleep and want to party at the cabaret.

The Jet hotel sucks! We went to Denver for a Nuggets game and wanted to stay close, so we chose the Jet. When we arrived back to the hotel after the game, we all had on jerseys and ball caps, so they wouldn't let us in. We also had a girl with us that was 18, and they wouldn't let her in because she wasn't 21. When we told the guy that checked us in we were going to the Nuggets game, he didn't let us know that you can't wear sports items back in. And, On the Jet website, it says nothing about these rules and one of the reasons to stay there is because it's walking distance to the Pepsi Center among other sports facilities. It also doesn't mention that the entrance to the hotel is the club, so you can't get into your room without walking through a crowd of people. And you can hear the music all night. There was also stairs right outside our window to go to the roof, and all night there were loud drunk dudes going up and down. It was horrible and not worth $200. And to top it off, the shower was kind of dirty and the bed was uncomfortable.
