Wife and I stayed here for a conference at the beginning of October. Overall it was a very positive experience. The lobby is actually pretty impressive, not at all what I was expecting to see when we drove up. I'll try to break it down for simplicity.
Room: Fairly basic hotel room. Quite clean with just minor signs of wear and tear (the hotel has signs up stating a complete major renovation in the very near future). I believe the entire hotel is smoke free, but if you get a room on the east or west side there are balconies that you can step out on to light up. Our room faced east which didn't provide a very good view... just a shopping center and industrial facilities. The west would provide a mountain view as well as downtown. Bed was a little hard and pillows were too soft, but that's just our preference.
Food/Room Service/Bar: We had a great time down in the hotel bar. We had an excellent bar tender who treated us great anytime she was working. I wish I could remember her name to give her Kudos. The bar was never really busy and we could watch TV and shoot pool as much as we wanted. We ate at the hotel restaurant a couple times, dinner and breakfast. The food was good, not remarkable, but very adequate. Especially since you are in a remote part of the city and the choices are rather limited for food near by. Room service was always very prompt and hot. No problems there at all.
Location: Probably the major drawback in my opinion... it was a bit of a drive to downtown and to many restaurants. Other than that, very good. Free parking too in a garage, which was nice.
