“This is the best $15 you'll ever spend.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2012

Took my brother and his kids to Cripple Creek and we saw this place and said "let's check it out". This tour was awesome. I recommend it to everyone I can. I would do it again and again. The miner's elevator takes you down 900 feet to the working part of the mine. It's about an hour or so. You walk through tunnels and here explosions from other parts of the mine. It's just incredible. If you are in Cripple Creek, you gotta check this out.

“Golden Opportunity to Experience History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2012

This is an excellent tour, if you know in advance that it requires about a mile of walking nearly 1,000 feet underground, and a somewhat cramped ride in a small elevator. The tour itself is a winner. We learned about the history of gold mining and we saw some examples of early and later types of drilling equipment. I learned several things about gold mining that I didn't know before. Overall, I recommend this tour to those interested in geology, don't mind walking, and aren't claustrophobic.

“Interesting, and different...best thing to do in Crappy...I mean, Cripple Creek.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2012

Although $18 is a lot to spend for adults, it was a fun experience. Very neat to actually ride in the elevator like the miners did. We got there for the last tour of the day, and were the only ones. (This is what I advise.) Tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. Really interesting tour. If you don't mind the cost, it's worth the time. Bring a hoodie! It's cold!

“Extremely interesting and enjoyable.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2011

The elevator is tight quarters but was really fun. Once we arrived at the bottom the tour began. It was extremely interesting. Myself and others had lots of questions that were answered appropriately. The people conducting the tour had a great sense of humor. No problems here. We still talk about this tour.
