“Wedding Midst The Wildflowers”

Crested Butte Retreat

A year ago Valentine's Day, my fiance surprised me with a beautiful weekend of skiing and massage and relaxation at Crested Butte Retreat...and a beautiful diamond ring. That time, we stayed in the Maroon Bells suite.

Since it was going to be a second wedding for both of us, we wanted something small and intimate and elegant. We were so enamored with the Retreat that we decided to come back for our wedding.

After many, many, many talks with Jayne, the property manager, we decided on a June wedding because the wildflowers would be blooming and the winter ski season would be long over.

It was such the right decision!

Just a few family and friends, nothing over-the-top. Jayne helped line up the florist and the photographer, arranged a wonderful ceremony and reception, and generally made it a fairytale come true.

The wildflowers were in bloom and the retreat was even more beautiful than during the winter. On Jayne's recommendation, we stayed in Pearl, the honeymoon suite. I can't recommend it highly enough!!

From start to finish, our stay at the Crested Butte Retreat was wonderful. We were given such personal attention, and made to feel as if we were coming home. And we truly did feel at home in this elegant, well-maintained spacious lodge. Our room was lavishly & tastefully furnished, as is each individually decorated guest room. We were shown where midnight snacks were in the spacious, marble topped kitchen, and enjoyed a full, individually prepared breakfast each morning, consisting of homemade coffee cake, fresh fruit, granola and yogurt, and eggs prepared to order. We ordered spa services and the massages surpassed our expectations! Jane and Gary extend wonderful hospitality to each guest. We can't wait to return!

“Luxurious getaway”

The Retreat is an exceptionally luxurious place to stay. The accomodations were above average. Decor was better than a normal Bed and Breakfast, but with a similar level of comfort as a B&B. We had a problem with one of the hot tubs making a loud noise in the middle of the night. We called the host and he immediately came to remedy the problem. The next day, the manager gave us a room upgrade for the remaining two nights of our stay. We felt like royalty. The breakfast of home-cooked omelettes and bacon every morning was a real treat. We also enjoyed cooking our own meals in the guest kitchen. During this time of the season, we had the great fortune of having the place to ourselves one evening. Great fun!

This was our first time in Crested Butte, and we had a wonderful time staying at the Crested Butte Retreat. Our room was beautiful, with its grand views, private deck with spa, palatial bathroom, and comfy bed. Gary, Jayne and Joshua were wonderful hosts and made the visit that much more special. We agree that the Crested Butte Retreat was a trip highlight, and we would recommend it to anyone who would like a bit of luxury in a beautiful setting with gracious hosts, delicious breakfasts, plush rooms, and relaxing and quiet comfort.

Very welcoming and comfortable bed and breakfast . Jayne does a very nice job of making sure we had a pleasant stay. She was very friendly and showed us around the place, gave us tips on restaurants and hiking, and made delicious breakfasts. Bravo!
