The Crested Butte Museum is a new museum in an old restored hardware store known locally as Tony's Conoco after Tony who ran the store and petrol pumps for over 30 years. They have maintained the old store and have a great Museum store with lots of unique stuff. The Museum tells the history of the Crested Butte area, its geology and the people who have made the area their home, from the Ute Indians to the miners, ranchers, skiers and mountain bikers. A very accessible and interesting Museum. A must visit.
