Most friendly town ever visited! No exceptions! Gunnison is the closest airport yet only 4 or 4 1/2 hrs from Denver in moderate winter weather. This resort is wonderful for those with intermediate to advanced to expert skills!!! Best out of bounds yet inbounds terrain around, with wonderful snow, beautiful scenery and laid back atmosphere. No lift lines (even on most powder days), varied terrain, good layout. Small town with extra "homey" feel, just minutes away from resort with has been growing in accomadations and amenities in the last few years! Hard to beat this awesome experience it makes you want to move....and soon! Grocery store, ski stores, movie theater and many good resteraunts. On the way in stop in Gunnison and visit the grocery there and Walmart to save some $$$ but otherwise everything you need and may forget is available in this small town setting.
