“Beautiful sights along unpaved but well maintained road”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

We travelled the Kebler Pass in early October and found the views to be beautiful. The road is smooth packed dirt for the most part, although there are several short sections where it's paved. It's easily driven by car, but if you turn off on some of the side roads, like Ohio Pass, you may want to have a higher clearance vehicle as the roads are narrower and a bit more rutted. That said, Ohio Pass is worth a look as it offers great views. Be aware that the whole area has free range cattle roaming the roads so be careful around turns.

“nice drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

this was a great easy drive up in the mountains just outside of town. We also went to Irwin lake and had some great shots of the leaves changing colors.

“A must see”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

We were lucky that Crested Butte had some snow before our visit, so we got to see the beautiful contrast of Fall gold with Winter white. Just stunning!

“Late season”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Golden color gone in Oct, due to weather and early snow. Road was great. However, 4x4 or AWD maybe needed if one want to go deeper into Ohio pass.

“Full day's drive, but was worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

What a beautiful drive. The trees were just starting to change. The weather was excellent. Road is not paved but well maintained. Many campers along the way. Places to stop and take photos, have a picnic or just take a long walk. I highly recommend the drive.
