“luxurious perfection an hour from Nairobi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2014

What better way to start and/or end a trip to Kenya than staying here. This lovingly restored period house in the hills near Konza is only an hour from Nairobi but you are transported to a blissful elegant retreat in the hills. Other reviews have said the same - the staff are unequalled in their attention to detail (fires in the bedrooms and hot waterbottles in the beds), their warmth and welcoming attitude, and in their professionalism and dedication to an extremely high level of service. We travelled in a party of three families (11 people, with children aged 11-17). Everyone of us felt special and well taken care of here. The food was outstanding and plentiful. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had the most wonderful time. Their special touches (we wont say here so it wont ruin the surprise!) were things one normally only sees in movies or romantic books. We are already thinking about when we could get back to Kenya and spend more time at this wonderful hotel. Well done Kiki and her whole team!

Room Tip: they are all beautiful and elegant!

I visited the Manor earlier this month on 11th hour plans so not knowing what to expect, and it turned out to be the best decision I had made thus far this year! Its such an eclectic little place, exclusively quiet and so relaxing. It's a beautiful boutique hotel which is actually also a ranch with perfectly manicured lawns and a beautiful view overlooking Malili plains. Amazing swimming pool and the such a relaxing environment with the trees, greens and overarching palm trees. Its the kind of place that you go to and it feels like you have literally shut the rest of the world out.

The rooms wear great, generously spacious with tasteful homely décor and wooden earth tone finishing.

The food was excellent, fine dining at it's best. Chef Martin is a consummate professional not to mention very friendly. He took time to explain what was on the menu each day, which only made you look forward to your meal even more. The desserts were to die for, honestly the best I have had in a very long time. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back for sure

This place is simply a gem. The staff is amazing and understand all the aspects there are to understand in regards to Customer service. The manager was spot on and made sure our very needs were taken care of.

The setting of the manor is expansive and very breathtaking especially in the evening. The room and food was amazing.

I would go back given any chance I get. Worth every penny.

My experience at kilima kiu manor was beyond description. My family and I were looking for somewhere nice and quiet to spend our Christmas and we found exactly that in kilima kiu manor. On arrival we were warmly welcomed. The staff was amazing. We took a tour around the hotel, the rooms are exquisitely done and each room is differently done. It has an impressive history and the interior decor is to die for! The scenery is breathtaking, excellent service and delicious food. Kilima kiu manor is a place worth visiting.
