We stayed here during the New Year holidays. We stayed in a "Silver" room. The room was tiny...barely big enough for the queen bed. A cold draft came thru the window and we had a view of the parking lot. The rooms were VERY loud (probably the most negative thing about our stay). We could hear every word our neighbors were saying and there was a lot of noise in the front of the building (which we were facing) and hallways. The bathroom was nice though. That was the only nice thing about this room (in spite of the shabby furniture, etc...). No housekeeping the whole time we were there (no clean towels so we had t use our used ones).

All that being said...the location of this property is very convenient to the village and slopes which was very nice. Nice restaurants there.

If we had a better room, we woul have enjoyed this property a lot more.

We stayed at The Mill Club from 3/11 to 3/16. The room was all that was expected. It was two bedroom with living area. It was tastefully furnished. We booked through Overstock travel and they booked through Colorado Rocky Mountain Resorts. We checked in, in Frisco. There is an underground parking garage that we were able to use. There was no cart to help us with our luggage and groceries so we had to make several trips. The condo had heated tile floors in the bathrooms which was nice. I loved the location of the condo. We did not like the noise that comes with staying in Center Village. I saw a comment about that on the Forums, but I had booked this unit last August. We traveled from the east coast and so with adjustments to time change, altitude and skiing all day, we were able to sleep. If we come back to Copper we will not stay in Center Village. The noise seems to stop around 11pm. The skiing was great. It was very warm and my son got mad at me for over-dressing him on the first day! At the end we were wearing t-shirts under our ski gear. We never turned on the heat in the condo. The ski school was great. My son loved his instructors and was able to learn enough to ski with us on the last two days. I took an adult lesson with Don, he was wonderful. We tried tubing and that was fun. I wish i had made my son wear a helmet because some people were going so fast they almost crossed the walls of the tubing lanes. We had a kitchen so we had breakfast and some dinners in the condo. We ate at the Incline(did not like), Endo's and the pizza place. Endo's and the pizza place were fine. All in all is was a great experience.

My 7-year-old niece was in a terrible snow tubing accident at Copper Mountain Resort. She is covered with bruises and required stitches. The resort staff were not helpful and said she did not require medical care -- in contradiction to the emergency room doctor who saw her.

They give no information AT ALL about the risks of snow tubing. She and her mother were given NO safety precautions or instruction.

Instead, they were advised to snowtube at night when it was more "icy," thus more dangerous.

PLEASE DO RESEARCH on snow tubing before you let your children do this!!

My teenage son and I just returned from a President's Day ski trip to Copper. We loved the skiing, and could have stayed several more days. The Bee Line pass that comes with staying at Copper allowed us to skip ahead of the line. With the exception of the American Eagle lift (where even the Bee Line was a 10 minute wait during President's Day break), we saved tons of time with the pass. We stayed at the Fox Pine Inn on the first floor, and it was OK. Certainly incredibly overpriced for what it was -- a small hotel room, last renovated 10 years ago, with no maid service. The promised "roll-away" bed was actually an air mattress. The first one they gave us had to be blown up manually (quite a task at that altitude on the first evening!), and had a leak. The second one worked fine. We had dinner one evening in the Central Village, and loved the feeling. I would stay in the Central Village next time.

We stayed in Copper One Lodge opposite the American Eagle. Very quick access to lift and skiing.
We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom appartment (flat) (or is that a condo?) (I'm English you see.) The room was graded gold. This was an exaggeration. The rooms were not very big and the living area too small for all of us to watch TV at once. Maid service was unpredictable (every 2-3 days ) but satisfactory. The sofa bed was awful - far too soft and uncomfortable for 1 person, never mind 2. You could sleep on it as a sofa though as it was very long. The room was quiet.
Food on the mountain and in Frisco was excellent - though being a small English person I found the portions rather huge. It was all very well cooked and appropriate for its price range - and we tried everywhere! As a beer lover I must especially recommend the Dillon Dam Brewery which makes excellent beer and good food for a very good price. The EPA (Extra Pale Ale) was lovely.
The altitude was a problem. It took 5 days to lose the cracking headache (no, not hungover!); and we never, in 13 days, lost the nose bleeds, blocked nose, dry skin, breathlessness, and poor sleep. Skiing was excellent though. A really good area which, if there had been a nice refreshing snow fall while we were there, would have been outstanding. It really does suit all standards and our experience of teaching for a near beginner was very encouraging.
Intrawest charge for wi-fi access - they say $10 per day - they mean $10 from 4pm to 4pm or any lesser period of time to 4pm. This was a first for me - it has been free elsewhere. I think this is a not inconsiderable cheek and exploitation of monopoly.
The swimming pool and athletic club is very nice.
