The standard of eating places in Copper Mountain is, sadly not very good. But even against such limited competition Alpinista does not star. It's not really the food quality which is the problem, it's the casual and unprofessional attitude of the staff, from 'greeter'/owner(?) to all of the waiting staff who we encountered. The greeter showed little interest in our arrival, the server told us that there was no wine list but that she could tell us of all the available wines: there were very few and she didn't know the prices. She took our food order without writing anything down and then had to return because she'd forgotten what we wanted. A series of people came to ask if we were enjoying our dinner but none of them showed any real interest. Our coffee was served in paper cups because our server thought we wanted to leave. The food was average in quality, large in volume. We didn't get the impression that anyone cared much about our visit, they won't need to worry about our returning.
