“Lone Duck Campground - best campground in Colorado Springs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2010

My husband and I camped at the Lone Duck Campground our first vacation while dating and had an amazing time. Fast forward 14 years later and add two kids were back having more fun than ever!!!! The owners of Lone Duck Campground are wonderful people. The grounds are well kept and the prices are very reasonable. They have so many beautiful sites to choose from. We camped in a tent. Their facilities are clean and the showers are HOT (and free!). The kids loved the heated pool and arcade. Every site has its own picnic table and fire ring. Be sure to ask when booking at other campgrounds. Many other campgrounds have communal tables and fire rings. We felt tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet the location of Lone Duck is so central. Great location. We stayed there a week and visited Pikes Peak, Garden of Gods, Canon City, 7 Falls, Breckenridge, Victor, and Cripple Creek. Campground location is PERFECT. Thanks Lone Duck! We won't wait 14 years again to come back to this hidden gem.

“Great Family City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2009

I wanted to share a little about our city. For those that have not visited Colorado Springs Colorado has much to offer. In the middle of town there is a wonderful park called Palmer Park. It has a great kids playground, a dog park and if you drive to the top you have a spectacular view of the city. We love to drive up at night and look out. Also Garden of the Gods is a wonderful family park. There is a free visitor center. Then drive through the park. The rock formations are amazing. And if you have time get out and walk. It is absolutely beautiful. During the fall and winter months you can see great wildlife.
