“3 Night family stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights in July. It was a very clean and nicely kept Holiday Inn. We felt the location was easy on and off the interstate and it wasn't far to all of the attractions we drove to (Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Air Force Academy, etc). The staff was quick to help us with a clogged toilet and met all of our needs. Would reccomend it highly!

Room Tip: We had a view of Pike's Peak from our room! Get a view from the west side.

I was able to sign in two hours early. My room was very clean and in good order a long with the bathroom and refig. The soap and shampoo are always appreciated. I've always injoyed the cookies in the evenings. My business stay was from Monday and Tuesday checking out on Wednesday & was given a later check out time of 1:00 PM due to my first appointment was 2:00 PM. Breakfast was on time, area very clean and plenty of items to chose from. The desk informed me that Fridays across the street gives a discount on food by showing my card pass. House keeping was very nice and helpful. Ive always enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after a long day on the road before dinner and my evenings on my lap top doing paper work at the work space in my room.

Room Tip: I always like the top floors no nose from the rooms above.

We stayed here on a Saturday night, the hotel seemed packed by the looks of the parking lot, but it was very quiet, staff was very helpful ( we needed directions) and we will stay here again. The rooms were clean and beds are comfortable.

The staff is polite and helpful, the breakfast was good with plenty to chose from. The room was clean, having soap and shampoo is always supplied and appreciated after a long trip on the road. I like staying with Holiday Inn Express for the fridges in the room, cookies at night, relaxing in the hot tub and a warm breakfast in the morning.

When we arrived at the Hotel on our motorcycles one of the riders noticed that their trailer wheel was rubbing the fender. After further review we noticed that the welds holding the axle to the trailer had broken. We went to the front desk and asked about places we could get supplies to fix the trailer. The desk manager was very helpful in telling us where the local Home Depot was, so off we went to get supplies. As we were talking a guest, who was just checking in, heard our problems and was able to help with all the things we needed to fix the trailer. You can meet the some of the best people when you travel and need help!!

Nice, clean room, helpful staff. Breakfast was good & plentiful- eat on the balcony and enjoy the view and the rabbits that graze on the grass. As Larry A stated, the only working ice machine was on the 3rd floor but it seemed to keep up, there was always ice when we wanted it. This hotel is in a good location for sightseeing.

Had we not prepaid the week's stay at this Holiday Inn Express, we would have gone to another property at midweek. Only one ice machine was working at the facility during our stay (the one on the 3rd floor). The pancake machine was out of order. Room air conditioner cycled off and on but did not adequately cool the room, and on the last day the coffeemaker failed. We had 2 grandkids with us but normally got only 3 towels and one washcloth. Pool is very small and shallow (5 ft). We were offered an incentive (drawing for 10,000 Priority Club points) to post a review on TripAdvisor. We're posting the review but did not put in for the drawing as this is not the review they would want. It is a good location, but parking is inadequate. We love the Holiday Inn Express chain, but will not stay again at this one.

Room Tip: Some rooms have refrigerators - ours did.
