3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

We spent one night at this Travelodge, in a king bed room, mostly clean, but the room had a bad smell when we entered, not overpowering but unpleasant. We had a refrigerator, microwave, coffeepot, Large screen TV, Mountain Views, and check in was friendly and efficient. The vanity was inside the bathroom, which to us is a negative, but the biggest plus was the location, close to Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Ghost Town Museum, Pikes Peak, and Cimarron Canyon.
Breakfast was good, Fresh Waffles, Honey Buns, Fresh Fruit, Oatmeal, Cereals, Breads, Juices, and Coffee.
Would stay again.

Room Tip: Top floor in the back is quieter, plus has Mountain View.

Spent nearly a month at this facility. The price was right. The room was safe and clean but outdated. The staff was very helpful. They appeared to be overwhelmed with maintaining this old facility. The staff did a very good job with the resources available to make my stay comfortable while I attended the BBI school next door.

If you are looking for an inexpensive place to say as you visit incredible places, this motel will work. We stayed here for 3 nights as we visited Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, and the US Air Force Academy. The room was adequate, relatively clean, and service was good. We made good use of the refrigerator, microwave, and on-site laundry in order to cut expenses. We found a grocery store nearby as well as a good range of restaurants. Garden of the Gods is less than 10 minutes away. The Cog Railway to Pikes Peak was about 15 minutes away. We also had easy access to Colorado Springs itself.

The staff at the front desk were especially helpful with things like mailing cards, laundry logistics (they had convenient detergent packets we could purchase), and suggestions about the best places to visit. Pets were allowed, so there were many dogs on leashes around. Conversations with fellow guests also revealed that the management will work with guests on logistics like where to leave personal vehicles if traveling in a group via other means.

Room Tip: Laundry is on second floor. All rooms are accessible via indoor hallways.
