“Great Amenities and Friendly Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

What a beautiful and family friendly hotel! It appeared that all hotel employees were instructed to be cheerful and friendly -- each saying hello as you pass them. The hotel has lots to do on site including a wonderful pool area, an on-site movie theater and on-site bowling alley. The restaurants on the property also are quite good. But for the beauty of the surrounding Rockies, there is little need to ever leave the property. It is the must stay place in Colorado Springs.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing West.

One of the nicest properties in the world. Super rooms with tremendous views. A staff that is gracious, well trained and simply excellent. A great place to get away and unwind. Marvelous golf and tennis. Short drive from Denver international. Highly recommend

Enjoyed the Broadmoor . . . . first timer. Rooms were quite comfortable and spacious. Bathrooms nice, with space for two or more. Accommodations are varied and some rooms have balconies, some don't --- actually most don't. Everything quite pricey, but that is expected. Our maid, July, made the stay extra special. Staff quite friendly and greet you each time they see you. Pool was nice, but get there early for a chair. Exercise room very nice. Zoo, although pricey, was worth the time, and the trip up to the Will Roger's Shrine was also worth a trip. What a view!

Room Tip: As long as you're not overlooking the parking lot, you'll have a great view.

This is a true destination hotel. The grounds are impeccably maintained and beautiful. Our room was in the tower across from the main building and looked out onto the lake. It was very large, well appointed and very comfortable. A large sitting area overlooked the lake. The bath has twin sinks, a separate multihead shower and large tub area. Dinner at Charles Court on the terrace was excellent, with attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere. Previously we have eaten in the more formal Penrose Room, but the weather was so delightful we changed our reservation. The concierge quickly changed this even though the restaurants were apparently fully booked. Simply strolling the grounds is relaxing, and wildlife wanders about. We had a deer stop in front of our table at breakfast and just watched the diners. Great fun.

The Broadmoor is a great hotel property with a well trained and helpful staff. The hotel does most things very well. The only real negative is that the hotel room prices and all of the add-on charges for parking, incidentials charge, etc. keeps getting higher and higher.

The picturesque grounds and setting of the Broadmoor take your breath away, from the lakes to the buildings to the mountain range behind it. Each and every member of the staff I encountered over my 4 day trip were helpful, friendly and obviously very well trained for excellent service. The Broadmoor has a variety of shops and restaurants which make it possible for you not to feel bored if there for an extended stay. The golf club restaurant was especially good and overlooked the golf course. Unfortunately the food at the Tavern was was oversalted, overlooked & underseasoned - like a bad chain restaurant. This property has the bones and staff to be truly 5 star but it would need to ensure the little details were attended to like water in caraffes on bedside tables during turn down service, better toiletry products, ensuring consistently good food in all restaurants, making sure wifi works on room porches, and an adult only swim area. Overall great experience and would come back with family.

It's just tough to beat The Broadmoor. Their customer service is unparalleled. The complex is luxurious. The amenities provide plenty of activities and distractions. At the foot of the mountains, the backdrop is breathtaking. There are multiple dining options, from formal to casual, the food is always expertly prepared. Their restaurants top the Trip Advisor listings for Colorado Springs. If you golf, the courses are as challenging as they are exquisite. This exceptional experience doesn't come cheap, so expect to enjoy the luxury, wrapped in the best customer service anywhere, for a price.

Room Tip: Upgrade from the base rooms, which are smaller and in the older buildings, if you want or need some...
